About article submissions and outbound links, I've recently written an article [http://www.thewebcontent.com/?p=114]
Howcome everybody is against having a network of sites? I take it then that easier/best way to adsense is a few good websites?
[sarcasm]The best approach is to create 100 sites that bring in $100 each per day. [/sarcasm] Give me a break guys. If the plan is to create X sites, then the plan almost always fails. The plan has to be create one site, the site is about XXX and this is why it'll get tons of visits for at least one year. Then, when that site is off and running, you can think about a second site.
How about having a plan that works? If having 100 sites making 100 bucks a day works, great. If having one site works, again, great. There is no right/wrong way to approach the generation of revenue assuming it is done ethically and legally. YMMV
A plan that works, works. But, a one site plan is gonna succeed a lot more often than a two or more site plan.
that makes no sense so if you try once you are more likely to succeed then if you try multiple times?
With Google updates being sometimes so slow I moved to building 1-2 sites a month (including basic promotion and link building) and then move on to the next 1-2 sites. After about 3 months I go back to all sites I build in the last quarter and promote them again, do some careful cross-linking where appropriate, write some articles and go back to building 1-2 sites per month. Now after approx. 1 year I had my first month of $300+ from Adsense alone. Amazon.com affiliate income is slowly coming in. So, I see this as a very slow process but I hope it builds up a strong foundation. My main problem is to get more than 100 visitors a day per site. Even the sites I intensively promote barely get more than 100 visitors a day. Christoph
Personally, it is not important number of sites - important is number of good keywords. (better is to have one high PR site with a variety of good keywords than 10 with low PR and with 1-10 keys)
The most important aspect of a site is the quality, the amount of traffic and lastly the revenue generated. If you build a high quality site which visitors will find useful, you have a succesful site that can have sustainable revenue generation. So my advice would be to start with one site, do it well, develop a good amount of traffic, backlick etc. then move on to a second site if you feel it's necessary.
Good idea! It's a lot harder to rely on just one website. Make a lot of websites, then link each other, you can get decent traffic. About getting $1 per click, quite hard to do. It depends on your topics. My 2 cent.
personally I make lots of sites ranging from very competitive high profit markets to very un competitive low profit markets. I sometimes make 2-3 sites that all target the same key phrase and promote each one differently.
But, put all your eggs in one basket? What happens when that "one" site goes bust? No other site to fall back on. IMHO it makes more sense to have more than one site doing well :0
A friend of mine only relies on one website, he got like 700 html pages in it and his content is highly specific (means he got tonnes of traffic from search engines, esp google). Even so, he makes between $3 to $5 per day.
Wow, How broad is this thread ? It's interesting to read - now I have to go back and re-read. There's plenty of perspectives here. The affiliate sites (ftp affil/article loading autopilot types), the content sites (pay someone else to top up), the usual try first earn later, and the disposables (ie if it don't work, dump it and move on). My personal preference is multiple sites (lots of them). Of course the biggest issue is management, but let me *stress* this one particular point i've seen made by a few folks thus far. If you're in it for the money, DONT slap up a site that becomes an earner then focus exclusively on it. Diversify. Not just in themes/niches, but seo practices as well. If you want consistency in your 100 a day, then your average actually needs to be 160 a day (only you will know this tho, depending on your audience), comprised of traffic from a wide variety of engines. The other thing to remember is if it can be done once, it can be done 100 times. Just my 10000 cents JL
I Like Plan B personally , You can give maximum time to your sites to get traafic and money . easy to manage.
