$100 to market website, any suggestions? how would you do it?

    Hi,

Seeking some advice or somebody to point me in the right direction.

One of my sites has fantastic potential : www.acnemanagement.info

however I only receive 5-6 uniques a day. So here is the question.

I am willing to spend up $100.00 to market this website to receive more visitors and get onto the first page of google when somebody searches for 'acne management'.

What is the best way to go about this. where would you buy links from and how would you go about marketing this site. I would like to eventually get more than 1000 uniques a day with a adsense click percentage of about 2-5%

My main site I get lots of traffic from adwords, froogle and search engines but this is an ecommerce shop and adwords for an information site I have found not to work!

So any methods or tried and trusted processes, please share or at least point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks

I believe $100 is not enough. you need to spend at least several hundred to achieve your target by consulting seo specialists.

Overture lists 6.7 searches a day for acne management. I would assume the acne keywords are profitable and competitive. I would invest the $100 in some ghost written articles and look for something broader than acne management.

Are the articles you have freely available elsewhere or are they original? If you bought this .info site and the articles are distributed elsewhere then you can pretty much forget getting page one or even page fifty results for your keywords. Focus on original content - search engines LOVE original content and OTHER SITES love linking to original content.

As for a budget of one hundred dollars consider buying a handful of links - you won't be able to do much else with that amount of money.

If you have other sites besides this one look for ways of cross-marketing them. If you have not already done so start posting in forums more directly related to the subject matter and using your signature space to link and bring targeted traffic to your site.

If Adsense revenue is what you are after, then you may want to capture SE traffic as much as possible :)

Submitting articles and your site to directories (free) help. You can also try posting in relevant forums :)

Although controversial, you could always go with PayPerPost, which could net you roughly 20+ posts with link backs

Pay someone to submit to directories if not already. Post some articles at ezinearticles.com if not already. For rest 80-90$ buy few links for 6 months from health related websites.

That is what I would do if I'm on your place.

Spend the money on some unique and original articles. submit articles to the article directories.

also, why did you put the artice in a textarea? it took me a few minutes to figure out that that was the article...

Why not buy some ad space over at Text Link Ads?

If you're looking for direct traffic, directories aren't a good bet. While they *might* help you establish backlinks, most won't send you one solid visitor.

It's good to do, but if you're on a very limited budget to get going, it can wait.

I'd spend some time with the site. The usability is poor/confusing and it's not created to realize its full potential.

article marketing with original articles could lead to some traffic, is it just adsense dollars your going for?

1st off I would move the Acne Management Articles above the fold.

2nd I wouldn't tell everyone you didn't write articles. "We have a large selection of professionally written articles for your reading pleasure." <-- 1st words you read --- let people know how you can help them not how you did it!

Yes, I agree with berniemac; benefits, not features or how I did it.

free classified ad sites might be a good idea for you to try. They can drive a trickle of traffic and maybe a stream.

usfreeads.com is excellent for google ranking plus a basic set up is free but you should get their monthly subsciption and promote affiliates in them for extra income too ;)

Try press releases of any testimonials you have. Write up a true story of an acne makeover and send out press releases about it; Link to the story on your website and advertise your products there. If you advertise in the press release, you will be banned or not be taken seriously.

look for forums, classified ads, blogs, or other tools like that in your field and make posts - get you name out there in your industry

I have a client who pays only $10 per month in an industry specific forum for front page advertising and he's made 10 sales this month from that $10 investment

Also press releases at prweb.com or prleap.com can be helpful for direct traffic; articles are good too: ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, isnare.com and articlecity.com have worked well for me. good luck!

i also have an industry specific advertising option you may be interested in. the target market is 12 - 20 year old girl and boy dancers and cheerleaders who care about appearance. We get tons of traffic, especially right after big competitions. PM me for details on Ad Space.
