I have basically to choices 1.Proxy Site Current Status: 1$ a day from adsense Idea: Spend the money on getting people to submit info to directories 2.Proxy Site Forum Current Status: Hardly any members, only active poster is me. Idea: Spend money on paid posting. Which do you think is the better idea? Any suggestions are welcome.
If your running adsense ads i would say forum. The forum will not pay as much for adsense ads but you might not get banned by adsense. I see more proxy sites getting banned. It might be advertising the used or google might be banning proxies now. I know most search engines do not pay for proxy clicks and bann people with them so i think google will do same in the end.
A huge amount of proxy owners are getting warining emails from google about "invalid clicks" which is being generated by a Botnet that is trying to eliminate the competition.
I would say forum: because your proxy site = it can get blocked from sites any time! Forum is more safe..
The forum is the way to go because you can build a community of regular members. You can integrate ads into the forum so that they blend and look part of your interface. In my opinion, proxies are short term, forums are long term.... I know what I'd rather be doing. To top it off a well established forum with a good number of members and a good post count can attract a far better resale value.
Neither one is a good idea - find something else. Proxy sites don't make much money at all. New forums don't make much money at all. What kind of subjects interest you?
