$100 PSD Travel Site Design - ENDS MONDAY! + $20 BONUS!!

Hello DP'ers!

We are running a contest to for a full site design, this contest will remain open till a design has been chosen but I would like to have it at the very latest finished by Tuesday 12 Noon Eastern Standard Time (New York Time)


SITE DETAILS:
-Find the logo and copy for this website here: http://tinyurl.com/ktoott (I do not have other logo files so please don't ask for them, you can also incorporate a new logo if you wish, new logo bonus will be an additional $20)

-Take a look at this site for cues on the look and feel and functionality I want: http://tinyurl.com/l7tuey and http://tinyurl.com/4fl8tc

-As far as guidance is concerned, please use the above Web site for stylistic cues -- clean and easy to navigate. As far as color is concerned be creative we are open to all color pallets as noted below.

- Some things to consider: there is a WordPress blog associated with this site and keep in mind that, but you will not be designing around it. Just remind yourself that we will be also adapting your design to the blog as well.

CONTEST DETAILS:
1. To be fair: No entries via PM and no late entries, please (Last entry Monday at 5:00PM EST (NY Time)).
2. Once Monday 5:00pm it will take us 24 hours to award the winner with the lump sum payment via PayPal (no money brokers and no exceptions) I will review all designs thoroughly and give my thoughts/opinions on every single design. This usually takes 1-2 business days.
4. Winner provides .PSD (or .XCF for GIMP users) file and fonts used. I will send $100 via PayPal and give honest iTrader.

RULES:
1. You must create the designs yourself. No templates. You must not use any images you do not have the right to use.
2. Only the winner agrees to transfer me rights to that design. I will not use any of the other designs and feel free to remove them from this thread once the contest is over.
3. You are free to put in watermarks to protect your work but make the watermark say "Sample".
4. By accepting the winnings, you agree to give me full rights to your design and you agree that you will not use this design for anything else.

The deadline will be enforced as long as there are at least five entries. One person can submit as many entries as he or she wants.

SUGGESTIONS:
1. For images, check out iStockPhoto or similar sites and use their free comps. Only pay for the images if you win.
2. For color combination, check out colourlovers.com--an awesome website!
3. Do not do revisions on every little thing I mention. Seriously. If I really want something done, I will ask you specifically. No need to waste time. I have a good imagination.
4. If you can code your own design, let me know how much extra that would cost. This will not affect your chances of winning in any way.

okay here is my proposition:

I kept the design very clean and used mostly blue and used orange for highlights. I did everything for the ease of use for the user.

All changes can be made during or after the contest. All feedback is welcome weather positive or negative.

Great work guys I am sorry I didn't leave feedback for everyone sonner. I can only login at work and I made a special trip in after seeing Samir's question. All your your designs are wonderful, here is some feedback:

StarDesigns, I think its a little to simple, maybe try with a new idea. Ignore the logo and work from scratch.
Shinan, It looks to much like a template.
Samir, Keep up the good work, try different color combination, work on it a little we are almost there!

 

@justadam: That's just ridiculous. Because I made this template EXCLUSIVELY for your contest. I spent almost an hour on your project and you tell me that its too much of a 'template'? Wow.

Shinan, I am entitled to my own opinion, sorry for mocking your work it looks to plain and simple.

Everyone else just as a reminder we don't want you to copy the two websites I gave you, we want a Web 2.0 looking design like they have. So far I am leaning toward Samirs_ design but I want you to spice it up a little, make it feel unique! Same goes for everyone else who has been copying and pasting parts of each website and putting it together.

 

I've just know the contest today, Wish the CH will extend the contest just one day more.

LOL @ What you have done, please next time do not copy other peoples work and change a few little things to make it look unique. Your creation is terrible and its completely copied from other people!

Thank you for all your entries! All of your designs were wonderful and well appreciated. Please give me just 24-48 hours to award a winner as we are weighing in on the possibilities!
