$100 PSD only design, one page city hotel reservations website

Hi all,

I am looking for a complete re-design of my current website see this link.

Payment will be $100 through either Paypal or Alertpay.

Reason for re-designing is because the new design needs to look more fresh and with brighter colors.

Most of the info that is currently there needs to be in the new design as well, with a few exceptions and I will list all requirements below:

- The first thing people should see is the search box and the search box needs to have the following: check-in calendar, check-out calender, nr of rooms box, nr of guests box and a search button. So it should definitely be above the fold and as prominent as possible.

- There needs to be a section where I can write something about the city.

- There needs to be a section where I can display information about the specific hotels, including an image for every hotel and possibly a description for the hotels.

- There needs to be a section where I can display the special deal hotels.

- The layout + color scheme needs to look fresh and bright, but should still look very professional and inspire confidence. You are free to come up with a color scheme, as that is not fixed.

- The design should be optimized for 1024px, but still needs to look good in much higher resolution screens.

- There needs to be a section where the language can be changed. Default should be English and besides that there needs to be options for the following languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch.

- There needs to be a H1 and a H2 somewhere, mainly for SEO purposes.

- Also for SEO purposes there needs to be as much text as possible. That means that if you have a choice between either an image or text, use text. For styling purposes use CSS as you can do almost the same with CSS as compared to images and my distinct preference goes out to CSS/text.

- There needs to be a minimum of 2 links in the header part somewhere, "Home" and "View Reservation". Same as above, these need to be text links and not images, as I might later change or add some other links there. So in your design there should be extra room for additional links in the header if in the future I need them, but it should not look very empty with only 2 links.

- For the header my preference goes out to a design that is minimal, yet looks very professional. Meaning there is no need to put a big image there as it is currently. But to make sure the design does not look dull, a nice picture of the city in question should be somewhere else in the design.

- Please do NOT pm me with design, ALL designs should be posted in this thread for reference to everybody.

- I do not have a fixed ending time, it depends on the quality of your designs and I will let everybody know one or two days before the time of ending this contest.

Thanks Riyanath, but it is not really what I am looking for.

I know I said I want the header to be of minimal design, but I also said it should look professional and inspire confidence, which unfortunately your design isn't/doesn't.

Thanks for your design KidRockLV, but it looks extremely similar to what it is now, even the search box is 100% the same and I specifically requested a new design with fresh and brighter colors and not 99% the same as I have now.

@KidRockLV: thanks for another try, but unfortunately cannot say that it is an improvement.

 

@Mr.LeGeNd: looks nice, but I have a few suggestions.

- The darkish/depressing blue color of the header image does not really match the otherwise fresh colors used elsewhere. Can you please do something about that?

- As stated in the requirements there is no need for "More search options" and "Children" in the search box. Please remove them both.

- There is no need for the "search site" part in the header as the real search box is just below it. Please remove it.

- I asked for a part where people can change the language, but I do not see it there. Please put it somewhere in the header part, maybe in place of the "search site" section for example. See requirements for the languages.

The I have a question regarding the scrolling images at the bottom. I like the concept, but can you tell me what you had in mind for it? Is it to display pictures of different hotels, different pictures of the same hotel, pictures of the city or maybe something else?

Please read the requirements very carefully before you enter.

Also please do not try to copy Mr.LeGeNd designs only because I said I liked it. I see this happening at many contests, but please come up with your own designs and I would still like to see a design without a big header image, as also stated in the requirements.

Oh, and for people who want to try a design without a big header image, you can put 2 phone numbers there to make it look less empty, one for regular customer service and one for making a booking. See for example http://www.hotels.com/?pos=HCOM_AU&locale=en_AU

Again, that is not to say that I want a copy of that, it is merely to show what I mean by a header without a big picture in it. And also please don't forget that if you go this route, that there needs to be a picture of the city elsewhere in the design to make it look more attractive.
