$100 PET website design contest

Contest will run maximum of 3 weeks from now, unless we already found what we like, ofcourse.

Why 3 weeks? - I want the designers to have time to think and do their very best with this design contest, NO RUSH.


ofcourse, I'l like to see our logo on the webtemplate
(later on, i will provide the corel draw image file to the winner so he/she can put a better quality on the template)

this site is more like a pet community, pet owners sharing their knowledge.
the site focuses more on RPO - responsible pet ownership.

-sample contents are the ff :
1. welcome note part on the template
2. navigation menu of the pages of the site (like breeds, vet directory, forum, article section etc)
3. place on the template where we can put the images/news/site info/links/pet of the month section (please see the website to see the content that i'm talking about - actually we will be putting all those stuff on the template so if you can include that on the template it will be better - like where exactly we can put those stuff)
4. i'd also like to see additional design on the footer of the template ; and a space for text - like copyright info etc..
5. i'd like to have a space for adsense too.


additional request :
please make the template scheme BROWN (our site had always been in brown scheme and we'd like to keep it that way forever)
the template doesn't necessarily have to be brown (like the one we have now, it looks less alive :/ ; adding other colors will not hurt. but make sure to include brown or some shade of brown on the template.

hello! thanks very much for the entry, it looks neat
i'll have to make a comment with our reversed logo though, i'll prepare if you will not change the way our logo is, i hope you understand [the Pinoy Pet Finder text under the logo can be removed though]
also, do you think you can make extra design on the top so that the logo will also "fit in" into the template? like make it look compatible to the design?
and lastly, can you make this template glossy-looking? i think it will also look great that way

hi radutrifan, i'm not that much satisfied with how you changed the header part, i was thinking you'll change the header design part to fit in the design, and was also thinking you'd change the plain solid background colors of the template to a more glossy looking one (maybe make it gradient and make it uhm, glossy looking? like as if it was made of glass. i will try to look for a couple of sites and post them here to give you all a better picture of what we're kinda looking for but thanks radutrifan, i really appreciate the effort

it's the quality of the design that i am referring too, i want that kind of look, glossy looking makes such an elegant look

i just wanted to add also that you can add other designs such as freebies or squeeky pet toys or chew bone etc.. the template doesn't necessarily need to be plain looking - adding a lil cartoon stuff or drawing won't hurt also.. i mean, you can change the layout in whatever form you like, doesn't necessarily need to follow the 2-3column straight layout. here are few more examples - http://www.madfrogdesigns.com/ ; http://amourchaleur.com/ ; http://gigscore.com/ ;

hi radutrifan! this one looks really good. pretty elegant because of those glossy effect do you think you can put a background image for the title on the sidebar aswell? "Site Status" / "Pet of the Month" and the likes.

and oh, the navigation menu on the header, do you think you can make their sides rounded? (per button)

and if you can come up with another design ofor it's header before the deadline, please do so cuz i'm not fully satisfied with the header part yet.. thanks again for putting so much effort. keep those coming

hi radutrifan, the 2nd modified version looks good but still feel free to submit more changes if you ever thought of another one

and hi shinan, thanks for posting an entry. the header (except for our logo), looks kinda lively (probably because of the color combinations, so light to the eyes)... but i think it needs more changes as there are only few stuff in it, i would describe the header as "incomplete".

please refer to trifan's entry and the sample links that i posted, we're looking for something like that kind of quality
