Well something most be wrong if you only earn $3 for three months or 1 dollar a month. First you must ask yourself how much time you put in to writing content, getting traffic etc....i'm pretty sure if you put in a few hours a day or even a week you results would change. Also if you come to DP and read all the post of people making good money i'm pretty sure you you learn alot.... Good Luck rob
What sort of site do you have? How much unique visitors are you getting on your website? There are many attributes that effect your AdSense earning. Try building traffic and experimenting with AdSense placement.
Have quality, unique content - and building up a nice little network of websites that can generate $100 per month or more.
I have one site that has one page and earns $100 a month. So easy. Its about thinking , its not what you know but what you do with it! You have to have the idea. If you show us your site I will tell you why you are not making money on it.
Anyway, what use is $100 a month? You need that a day really to make it a living in the UK, I have just noticed you live in India, I can see why you are looking at adsense, I cant imagine how great it would be to do nothing and live off it if $100 a month was all you needed. Go for it!
Once you have done all your tweaking for ad placement, site design, SEO, good content, all you will need is time and traffic. Treat each page like it was it's own little web site, keep trying new things until you find what works best . When you get to $100 a month you will want $200 a month
Yeesh. I think I'm going to build an AdSense FAQ for all these common questions. Maybe DP should have a Wiki here for us to put one together (monetized of course)
Thanks to all of you again for your advice, waiting for it....... I have heard of SEO -Search Engine Optimisation right? How is it implemented?
fesite, May be you should try article and web directories submissions, you may get a bit more traffic.
With Google actively working on their CPC algorithm (what some call Smart Pricing), directory and SEO traffic might not be wise. The worse your traffic is, the worse your payments will be. I changed the subdomain of one of my highest traffic but lowest CPC sites. The old subdomain was in directories and various link networks and the CPC was terrible. Since I changed it, I also redesigned it (less ads, more content, internal linking, etc). Now I am getting about 80% less traffic but my income is up overall on the site. Instead of attracting accidental clicks and lame traffic, I work to promote the site within the industry it is specific to. I'll get various inbound links from readers who print the link on forums and in e-mails to others. These links are powerful because they bring in truly interested CUSTOMERS. Who cares if you're only getting 10-20 clicks a day from 300 unique visitors if the clicks pay well? Would you rather get 3000 unique visitors a day and 300 clicks that pay less overall? Traffic is NOT the key to AdSense in the long run. It used to be, before Google took the right step to destroy the income of junk sites. The more people hear about "making money online," the more junk sites we'll see. This will hurt the publishers who really have a positive thing to say and sell. In the long run, AdSense should be used for one thing -- to help monetize your site in the middle school age. The first 6-12 months you should be working on your reliability and popularity in people interested in your topic. 12-24 months can be your AdSense booming months, and 24+ months you should be getting direct advertisers for a high price. Become the expert in the industry, not another hanger-on.
ur goal shud be first 10$/month, once that is done, then aim for 100$/month, then when that done, then goal for 200$/month and keep doubling
You get lets say 10 clicks a day for like 2-3 bucks? Increase your traffic and more than likely you increase your earnings. Pretty simple.
