This is a disgrace to this forum on many levels. One of the reasons why people get turned away. Aries is correct and it is not his fault whatsoever. Many people has mascots that they want remaking and if Aries never saw this then how does he know? Aries should not get shunned from this forum as he is a loyal and honest designer with outstanding qualities. An iTrader of 69 tells you the truth. On the other hand JoRd you have to be ashamed of yourself on so many levels. You have designers on this website working for people for prices that are unbelievably low. Especially DesignFX. If you price those designs in the real world they would go for anywhere from 200-500 dollars. This forum is underpriced and is getting worse and worse everyday. A problem that needs to be stopped soon before it crashes. Designers this includes placing a watermark on your work so buyers such as JoRd cannot get you like this. Any if they do so when they show it to people like Aries he knows not to do the job he was told. JoRd this is against the law and DesignFX has every right to contact whomever he needs to, to get your website shutdown and your account banned. Im done here.

I'm pretty sure, that design can send a cease and desist order then contact the web host provider to remedy this issue, correct me if I'm wrong, JORD, you are a disgrace. Honestly, DP's designers work for much less than a regular company, just pay him for it, stop being a baby, that is the attitude that gets people no where and breeds mistrust on the internet.

"A cease-and-desist letter is a letter demanding that the recipient refrain from a certain behavior or face legal action. Some types of behaviors that may prompt such letters include:

    * Stalking or other forms of harassment

    * Property, neighborhood, and boundary disputes

    * Copyright infringement or trademark infringement <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

    * Libel or slander

In the case of copyright or trademark infringement, libel, and slander, the letter typically threatens a civil lawsuit if the recipient continues the undesired activity. It is similar in form, although not in function, to a demand letter, which alerts the recipient to a pending claim for money damages, usually as a result of a tort or a breach of contract."

^^this is taken from Wikipedia but it about sums it up....

here are some sample cease and desist letters and a few tips i found in a flash:

    http://www.webmastertechniques.com/Insight/cease.html

hope that helps, if he does not "cease" or "desist" then you can show the letter as proof to his webhost provider and get them to shut down his site. if they won't you can threaten legal action, most hosts are scared of being sued so will comply anyways.

    hope that helps.....

MAKE SURE YOU GIVE THIS ASS HOLE A RED REP.

IT IS NOT BEING MEAN. IT IS TRYING TO HELP OTHER DESIGNERS NOT FALLING INTO THE SATANIC TRAP OF JORD, THE INHERITOR OF SATAN.

Red rep to Jord. Woe be to you on these forums. What you did is really scummy.

Green rep to designfxpro for the great design. That is very impressive work, and you should be getting paid so much more than you are asking.

Green rep to aries for coming forward and having the guts to let us know what happened. Your rep is clear, dude.

Well ive been called many things in my life but this thread topped some of those

Anyway i just wanted to clear some things up, what i did looking back on it now was totally unacceptable, but i 100% hand on heart thought what i was doing at the time was an OK thing to do.

I don't want to bring Aries into this as i didn't inform him fully about the image i had but he was showing me step by step his drawing for me, i was able to see line by line been drawn and to me [a graphics newb] i figured this was ok because a designer was creating the design from a blank page...[again im not trying to defend myself, but i dont want Aries' reputation to be tarnished in anyway because of this because he was totally oblivious to this]

When it sunk in i was in the wrong i actually did start feeling awfully guilty and ive learnt now that i am a sucker for guilt...

Anyway, I've now contacted DesignFX via msn to speak with him and explained my situation apologizing also. Ive been scammed in the past and its really not something id wish or do for that matter to anyone.

I asked DesignFX how much the price was we agreed on the drawing and have sent him that price and a little extra just for his troubles and for me been a jerk [i could of thought of worse words but i do like been a member of DP]

Again id like to apologize to Melencio for his troubles but this one is public for everyone to see.

    Jordan

Jordan and I talked about this case and we've already settled it. I really appreciate Jordan'd effort to arrange things properly, all the rights to the prisoner's image used on www.prisonstruggle.com was passed on to Jordan and he have all the legal rights to used that image in any way he wants.

Thank you very much for arranging the payment and for giving a litte extra which is not necessary but thanks for the gesture, I really appreciate it. I want to state that Jordan is cleared and we've closed this case properly

To Aries, you are cleared since the moment you explained it to me. Jordan told me about it but I think you need to talk to him.

To all the designers and members especially to the Filipino guys who supported this case, jahid, coolwanz and weblazer. I also want to thank you.

To the moderator who gave me suggestions and to Mattaw and TD, thanks guys.

Again, I want to state that Jordan made all the necessary arrangement to clear everything up. Thanks again mate. Have a good day everyone and God bless. :)

I'm glad that the issues have been finally settled and resolved.

Hopefully this will give everyone some helpful information and
valuable lessons who might experience the same circumstances
in the future. Just remember that professionalism applies for both sides.

    kind regards
