100 odd .coms to renew. Any low cost suggestions

    About a year ago, hostmysite.com came up with a 2.99 deal on .coms. Many of us on DP took up the offer. Now we have reached the end of that year and these domain names need to be renewed.

    But, I am not keen to pay $8 per domain name. Any suggestions on great deals for transferring domain names?

    Question: Godaddy keeps saying get $1.99 transfers with any non-domain anme purchase. Does this mean that I could buy something like a 3.99 per month hosting and transfer 100 domains for $1.99 each (with a free year extension included)?

    I haven't tried it myself but yes it has worked in the past. But I think it's per. IE you would have to buy 1 $3.99 hosting for each transfer. ANd then you would have to cancel all of the hosting accounts within the month.
