Buying 100 Mini Sites Needed - $3500

We have a backlog of 100 sites that we need to develop:

Each will have at least 5 pages of good quality, well researched and interesting content. This is a major requirement. We are very picky. It really needs to read perfectly with no grammatical or spelling errors and sentences constructed properly In UK English.

All sites will be varied. i.e. you cant just use the same structure for all sites.

Sites will look professionally made and attractive. Images should be used.

Sites will be properly constructed with META tags.

Sites can only use HTML and CSS (not Wordpress)

We will provide you with the domain name and subject. You will do the rest.

Fee: $3500 Paid on a / site basis or in batches. Completely up to you.

Timeframe: 3 - 4 months Maximum.

Previous developers have become permanent members of our team so future prospects for the right person. If you need a writer to do your writing, maybe contact debapriya deb whose writing style I really like but have no affiliation with.

Raise the price to at least $5,000 then you'll get me interested. If you want quality (interesting term the "picky"-ness) and are willing to pay $35 measly dollars per site, forget about it. You'll end up with junk and a wasted budget. I'm a recent graduate/freelancer of this industry (design for web and print) with an established portfolio and have been making sites since 2005. Feel free to ignore this post.

 

@web_designer2.0 and @Hollow - What gives you the right to dictate if the price on offer is too little? I have been doing these sort of sites for a client for the same 'measly' price for over a year now. I do the writing, coding and design all by myself and it takes me exactly 3 hours/site. That's just over $11.50/hour which more than acceptable for me. Much prefer to do this while I finish my degree than working in McDonalds or some other crappy sweatshop for £6/hour. I get to do as many as I want, at what time I want, no pressure on delivery and I find it relaxing. Its a perfect job for me.

I am based in the UK where the cost of living is ridiculously high so I can only imagine that for someone in the far east or eastern Europe, this sort of job can be a godsend. Who are you to stick your nose up at these type of prices? If you don't like it, move along but stop trying to ruin peoples threads just because you are annoyed that some of us are able to do your job at a much lower price than you can. You therefore have to justify it by saying that the content will be "junk". Well, I can guarantee you that when I write, my content is certainly not junk, and probably better than anything you can produce.

Rights? Freedom of speech, opinion, etc - you can't be serious to ask me that. Dictating the price? Not at all. See the guy already slapped the term "bitter" on me and put me on his ignore list. The only dictation there is, comes from the "client", so that's that. From what you wrote, I take it you're young and inexperienced, and that's ok, but you'll learn in time the value of your work and skills. Anyways, enough deviating the thread - I hope you'll get this gig, and perhaps even learn from it when its done.
