In my first concept there is two letter E and in the center a driver silhouette to illustrate the company initials (first letter E represents the "East" the second one the "End" and the driver silhouette obviously the drivers).

I agree that it's the same type of concept but there's significant changes to the artwork and design. Quite a few of these logo's did the same thing with various clip art or other logos.

 

@ CH could you read your description for this contest .. You said you need originals ... Is this winning design??? If you are happy to pay 100 dollars for exacting copying "original" . it's same to same only it was triangle and yours was circle ...
It's not an offence on your selection we have participated in the contest and waited so much time to see the winner ... At last we got this

 

Damn, that is Blacklane's logo. It isn't really even changed. You can't use that.

Fact of the matter is every design the group liked had some resemblance of something that was from something else, clip art or someone elses logo. We felt this was modified enough to not be a 'copy' so to speak and had enough of his own modifications and design. Again, quite a few of these logos did the exact same thing. He's just the only person being called out on it. I wish it was 100% fully original and NOT based off of anything else but having that + superior quality seems to be hard to come by.

My intention is not to have an argument about this. The group considered everything and in the end the decision was for that logo, all things considered. I am sorry if you do not like the outcome but it was not just my sole decision here. I personally favored something else over this one but I was out numbered on the vote in the end.

 

You really going to sit here and tell me that a dozen other people didn't use the little dude out of clip art or other logos from somewhere? That's all he used here, a close similarity of theirs. He didn't do anything a dozen other people didn't do.

There's no way you can get that design trademarked as it belongs to a limousine company already. My artwork may not have been what they are after but it is completely original.
