I'm sorry i'm a beginner in here and in design. I'm not a master as you do althought i always try to learn and learn.

yup i use a free clipart for that but i managed and do some work with them and mix with my works not just using them without any other works made by me. It's a royalty free one, so i think it's free to use.

Many other people use free clip art and also free font design for their works, but all i see is you complain to a contest where you also took part in it. And you always "attack" someone who might be your competitor at that contest and you neglect other contestants (which also use clipart and stuffs) that not meet the contest maker criteria.

Well maybe you should read the FAQ about the public domain clipart. Here's some information i took from them which make me feel free to use it :

"What limitations are there in how I can use the clipart?

There are no limitations, you can do whatever you wish with it.

We select the Public Domain for the clipart in order to provide maximum flexibility and ease of use to the user. You can put the clipart into your own drawings without any affect on the copyright or license of your work. There are no requirements to include attribution of the clipartist. You can edit and modify the clipart as you wish and redistribute it under your own terms."

"The main reason we favor Public Domain is that for the end user it is very simple. There are no conditions they must adhere to. They don't have to worry if they're allowed to use it for a commercial purpose, nor follow any particular rules if they modify it, nor have to worry about giving credit when they use it."

Unless it's a copyright one not a public one, and i don't buy it instead of stealing it then it's my sin.

    m3l1ssh4,

whatever license those images were distributed under, it's still clipart. it's neither original nor unique.

if you were running an online business with enough capital to spend $100 on a logo, would you want that logo, the visual representation of your company, to be something picked up off the second page of a google image search?

I wonder what make you so bussy with that?while others using clipart and you stay silent?is it because i'm one of the competitor (that Gydian love the work) in this contest that you can eliminated so you have a bigger chance to win?

compete fairly, let Gydian choose which the best. He also didn't say anything like the work must 1000% original (not using clipart, not using free font that people developed, not using piracy apps, etc). If all of my works are developed by others, i do nothing just copied all and claim it's mine, then you can report me to the police if you like too.

    Answer this please :
Btw, why u don't say the same with others in this forum that using clipart too?
why you only bussy with the contest where you taking part of it?
and why you only bussy attacking your top competitor in that contest?

if you are really fair about what you claim, then attack all of the members using clipart and developed font. You're a senior here, i'm a beginner but that doesn't mean you have the right to stop me developing my skill. Not everyone as expert as you might be, but a true expert respect others and say not too much like you did.

Trully speaking i love your wonderfull art work, but too bad your attitude is not the same as your work. You're just afraid that other people (who might using free clipart or even copyrighted one) will win and your original works lose.

For Gydian, it's your choice because you're the one who own this contest. If you don't like free used clipart and also developed font to be use as the part of the work please announce that and i'll be pleased to take my work back, because i developed my work from it.

i know some (a lot) company that even paid more than $100 on a logo, and you know what their logo are also a clipart and mix font that developed by the designer. That's why if you watch your surrounding you might find an almost similar or look like logo. Too bad they don't choose me as their logo designer, if they did, they might spend less then what they have waste.

Mate, stop trying to defend using clip art in your creation of a logo.

If the CH wanted clip art, they could've found some themselves.

When a person is asking you to design something for a monetary reward, you're expected to come up with something original.

Oh, and there's much better ways to improve your skill than slapping some text on some clip art. Open a design book or read a tutorial or something.

    thank's for backing him up...

still the question is why only me?others using clipart too and he don't warn or asking them? (i found this patern on him, that's why i ask the question). Even in this contest there are also other clipart, why only me?i guess because i'm the potential competitor for him who choosen by the contest owner.

i'm a newbie here, i don't want to make any trouble. I submitted the contest using a modified clipart because what i've seen is this things are allowed in here, and there are so many clipart in this forum modified and used to win the contest (infact some of them win the contest). But when a big prize came and he's participate in it, there's this new unwritten rule he spread.. BE FAIR ..If you think your work is the best then let it be. You're not the contest maker, if you make the contest then you can disturb others by pointing the rule you've made.

i'm also a newbie in design not an expert like you guys. i learnt it by myself not at school or any university.

so if i can make a conclusion from both of you :
"Newbie please learnt at home, don't came in here. This place only for expert. If then you've became an expert please feel free to join here and compete with us"
