Retzseo: thanks for giving this a try. I have seen your work and I know you're a very capable logo designer but I would say this isn't one of your better logos. I was after something more corporate and a little bright. Yours has a little bit of a cartoony look and it is way too bright for my needs. I appreciate your effort how you tried to incorporate the icon into one single image but I am sorry. It just isn't what I am after.

Shart, I appreciate the entry and thank you for giving this a try but it is not going in the right direction. Similar to what I said to retzseo: it doesn't have that corporate look that I am after and the icon which looks to me like the sun is way too bright and hasn't got the clean look I am after. Thanks for the try.

DaveyBoy: thanks for the entry. Hard to give feedback. I like them...however, they just seem a little too sporty and I was after something a little corporate. Very pleasant, very stylish designs. I know I am probably asking the impossible, but I was thinking of something more along the lines of that dailyblog magnificent logo that you did. That had a very corporate look and was extremely elegant at the same time. I want something a little more on par with that design. The designs you did just now are growing on me though. Thanks for the entry, and let me know if I am asking for the impossible. Maybe it's a bit like asking Nadia Comaneci (a Romanian incidentally) to perform the same perfect 10 gymastics routine again. Could she do it again? Could Davey Boy do another magnificent design such as the dailyblog logo? Only time and DaveyBoy will tell.

Do you want some kind of a shiny look (almost metallic) or do you want a more flat design. I've never been a fan of shiny logos really, I dunno why. The logo you mentioned that I created has a reflection and stuff that I was trying to avoid as I am aware of your dislike for this element of logo design. I'm keen to keep the core design elements of what I have already made - mainly cos I can picture it on packaging and stuff and think it works decently (in my head at least; but my head is pretty warped ). I'll see what I can do boss!

Ipod, honesty is the best policy. I am glad to have received your seal of approval. Now get back to work and do me a better logo It is Australia for now. But if the logo turns out the way I want and I make heaps of money I will be off to Southern California. You're right: the Aussies claim everyone as their own. Even Russell Crowe was born in New Zealand but in Australia he is a true, blue Aussie.

watari: thanks for your entry. It's got a very stylish and creative icon. I see a lot of potential. Ipod reckons I am an honest guy so I mean it when I say you've got potential. The only "problem" you are going to have is there are also a lot of great competitors around here. The more I look at your designs the more I like the creativity and at the same time I have to dissapoint you. Again, your icon looks great but I want something more neutral and I definitely do not want a body of any kind as it can be interpreted as selling muscle building supplements. I don't want anyone to think they will end up looking like Ade Rai (for those who do not know, Ade Rai is the world's most muscular NATURAL bodybuilder and he's from Indonesia). The one I like the most is the second logo but I would still like something a little more vibrant and more professional looking. So far, fade (post #26) has the most stylish icon (not the font, just the icon). Hopefully this will give you an idea about what I like more. So I want professional, vibrant looking more than anything. By the way, I have been to Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung and of course Bali. I loved the papaya. It was really nice)

DaveyBoy, thanks for remembering my dislikes. You're right: shiny logos are not exactly my cup of tea. I don't mind some slight shiny touches and sometimes they look really good, but I prefer them kept to a minimum. This logo (Super Supplements) will not go on any products. It's for a distribution company. There is no such product as Super Supplements. This logo will only go on advertising material (brochure, postcard, stationery, etc). I prefer a flat design, but I still like a little creativity, a little vibrancy if you get me. Like expressions did with that fabulous chocolate logo. He added a slight colour vibrancy to the cocoa bean and that really sealed for me. Let me say it again, I do appreciate your entry and considerations of my liking.

woodywho: thanks for the entry. It's not quite what I was after. I was mentioning I would like some kind of an icon. It can be argued that those two S-s look like an icon, but it's still not what I am after. Doesn't go with my requirements. My opinion is try to read the requirements twice to save you some lost time. I know you probably got an urge to get working right away when you heard of the name: Super Supplements (oh mine what a super dooper name. I got to start straight away I am that inspired ) Regarding your design, I feel like the colours don't quite go. Again, I mentioned in the instructions what colours I preffered and that pinky/purply shade is not me. I also feel the S-s and the font don't go together. If you're willing to give it another try, consider an icon that is a little more corporate and mainstream while still being stylish and elegant.

Alex; Thanks for the entry. I really like the icon but not so much the font. The font is too shiny and too web 2-ish for me. I am after something a little more flat and yet vibrant. I also think the icon would look better if you kept it mainly one shade. I like top the left corner, but I just don't like how it darkens when you look at the bottom right hand corner. The icon looks cool and it's very vibrant, but the font, sorry, not that keen on web 2.

shib: thanks for the entry. I prefer the top one even though it's a little flat looking. But it still looks corporate. Perhaps too many S-s in the first picture (icon). You could try and make it a little more simple and perhaps a little more vibrant colours. The second one I don't like. It looks (to me) like the SS are confronting each other the way they are positioned. As if they are admiring each other somehow. In the first design you got a lot of what I am after, but I am still after something a little more vibrant.

internet: thanks for giving this a go. First entry has an icon that seems to be related more to something that's moving so I don't think it goes with what I'm after. the effect certainly adds a little of vibrancy but it's a little too much. the font is not what I would call a corporate font and the colours need to be a little more vibrant. The second entry I am sorry but it's just a little too amateurish for my liking. Thanks for giving this a try.

I am off to bed now. And just in case anyone thinks I talk too much here's the reason. I am a man, was born a man and I don't intend to change from being a man. Anyway, one day I went to a dentist to fix a few teeth.They were too bad and the dentist recommended I have several of them replaced. After the visit to the dentist all my friends noticed I talked a lot more than before. So I went to have another check by the dentist. The dentist checked my teeth and terrified he told me he made a mistake and gave me women teeth instead of man teeth. So now you know why I talk too much.

 

some modifications, less shiny, more corporate, with another color, which I can change if you have a color preference. also please let me know if the font is still off so I can try other font combinations.. thanks.

 

fade, I was just off to bed when I saw your entry. I was mentioning I like your icon the best. Even though now I am also liking Alex's one (the whole S white on red). It is normal to see more things I like as the competiton is heating up. But the font is not something I like. I know you can change the colours. What I would rather do is ask for changes as I am closer to making a decision. i don't want to ask for changes to waste your time if I am not considering your design. So far I do like your icon very much, but if you want to do some more changes before I reach the final stages, please try different fonts. Now I am off to bed. Keep me updated how it goes with that other logo. You know the one I would be very surprised if you don't win (after all, it does come in vector). I still find it funny, but I am getting over it. I am no longer laughing just smiling when I think of it. I think it's morning at your end so have a great day. I am going to have a great sleep.
