    I typically go through all of the logos on here to critique based on the feedback I get. However, they were very happy with the logo you have crafted. The last logo to be exact and went through all of them but were so impressed with this logo they want it finalized and sent. I have pasted the image below of the one they like.     i think andiholist got a point there, it similar concept, even the tires lines number is the same, but it's different execution so you can get away with this one :D and if the client likes it so be it :p let get on to the next contest :)

    The issue here is not the execution, it's the concept. This falls under the Intellectual Property Rights. The winner who is going to use the logo might get sued. Designers must not only design but must also be responsible.
