I've never done a contest before so I'll do my best to give you the info you need. I will pay the winner via PayPal. I need a header image and a banner ad. I am looking for one designer for both images so please only participate if you can do both. Contest will end in one week. Here are the details... Header Image: Needs to be 90 pixels high x 770 pixels wide. Title in the image: Hoodia and Weight Loss Site description text required in the image: Your Trusted Source for Information on Hoodia and Weight Loss You can see the current lame header here: http://hoodiaandweightloss.com/ I would like to use greens and tans in the image. Doesn't need to have a green background as currently shown. Be creative. One thing I do want is a desert theme of some kind. I currently have a picture of the hoodia plant so if you can incorporate a picture of it (or another picture of the hoodia plant) in a desert theme, that would be ideal. Banner Ad: The banner ad will go in the left sidebar of the site. I want this ad to be subtle so I don't want any obnoxious images. The goal of the banner ad is to promote a forum on hoodia and weight loss that I will be launching. I want the ad to grab people's attention and get them to click over to the forum and participate! You can view the forum here: http://forum.hoodiaandweightloss.com/ Feel free to use the same color as the forum or the same colors as the main website (or any color you see fit). Just fyi I only need the specific logo so no need to integrate buttons and the like. Overall, I like the design. The only thing I'm not 100% certain on is the black font for the subtitle - kind of hard to read the tail end of it. Maybe put the subtitle in white like the main title? I would also be interested in other font options for both the title and subtitle. Not totally crazy with the current font style (but the size is fine). Thanks for your submission! Travis
The banner ad is EXACTLY the kind of thing I'm also looking for in the header. I love the blue sky/desert look. Ideally, if you could take that theme and somehow integrate the hoodia plant in the header along with the sky/desert we'd have it nailed. As for the banner, here are the only minor changes I'd like... 1. Make the text darker so it's easier to read. 2. Integrate an arrow with the words "click here" after the main text...like you see in this image: Travis
Not bad. Please see the notes I left for DanCam. You have the right idea overall regarding the header. However, the fonts you're using are way too busy. I really want something much cleaner and simpler. Also, I'd like the subtitle to center below the title (so that it's not running over the hoodia plant part of the header). Travis

Much better The only thing I'd like to see changed is the font of the main title. I like the green color but the white border has to go. Can you change that up a bit? Also, is the picture you're using of the hoodia plant? It looks like it is but isn't the "typical" picture most consumers are accustomed to seeing. If you can use the image of the plant I'm currently using or something similar, that would be ideal but not necessary. If it's not possible, then just leave what you have. Can you also submit a banner ad sample as this contest is for both a header and banner ad. Thanks. Travis
I don't know if you want more feedback to tweak these more or if this is your one and only entry. If it is, that's cool. Otherwise, here is my feedback if you're willing to make further changes... Header: I like the background - the way everything blends. However, there's just something about the fonts and the titles that don't work for me. The main title just looks too "loud" and the highlighting of the subtitle also is a bit much. However, given how the background is I'm not sure what the options are to make sure you can still read the title and subtitle. I like real clean and subtle fonts if that makes any sense. Banner: Overall I like it - it's not bad. I'd like to see the text read: "...find the answers in our Hoodia and Weight Loss forum." And then if it's possible, add an arrow with the words "visit now" or "click here" or "click here to visit now" See the notes I left DanCam about this. Travis
I gave a shot with the requested changes the header 2 versions 1 with the tan overlay on the lettering and 1 with green overlay. Also made changes to the banner Tan Green Banner with darker text and arrow

So far I like Tropica's design the best. Great work! I love the animated banner. A close second is DanCam's. Since this is a week long contest, I would like to hold off for other possibilities but so far I like Tropica's the best. Travis
Did a bit of rework on the header lettering and put a animation on the banner.... I feel like a dirt bag for that. Sorry tropica, any way your banner is far better I think... Banner may need some frame speed adjustments
