GayExecutive.com is a new web site about topics relating to gay professionals – things like resume tips, dressing for an interview and current political happenings. Were trying to make the web site look and feel like a business magazine and were looking for a logo that matches that theme. http://www.GayExecutive.com The logo should be more business week magazine/GQ and less gay pride parade – no prisms or rainbows please. Prize: The prize for the winner is $100 paid via Paypal once all necessary files are received Deadline: 2pm EST Sunday January 13th 2008 If you have any questions, please leave them below or send them to and I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks, Steven
This is so awesome, finally the contest prizes are getting higher. Yippee, no more 5 dollar logo contests.. Will enter, but this contest .. is it just making a logo that has little to do with gay people, so basically no penis shaped letters? Can I just make a logo like I usually do without incorporating the gayness in it? or what do you want? Thanks, Jason
If you can come up with a classy way to include the gay detail that’s all the better but we haven’t found a way to do that yet. So mainly what we are looking for is a professional business logo – maybe something like a briefcase. Looking forward to your entry. Steven
Interlocking G and E (same shape); purple triangle replacing the dot in .com. Another iteration with a briefcase background. Feedback is appreciated.
Thanks everyone for your entries. None of them are exactly what we are looking for yet. Color Scheme: Our color scheme isn’t set in stone so if you hate it use something else or feel free to introduce another color Xpressions: The purple triangle for the dot was a great idea for a way to include a gay symbol, unfortunately some Jewish people are uncomfortable with the symbol because of its connection to Nazi Germany – as such we don’t think it’s a good idea to use it. We like your "GQ"ish idea, but we need it to be horizontal to fit the web site. Could you do it similar to this but with our color scheme? Also maybe it could he given some depth with a highlight like you did in the 12step, flogg.it and iparv logos in your portfolio. designfxpro: An interesting idea, we like the 2nd logo from the top the most but feel that were not sure it matches our magazine/publication look Suggestions to All: We really like the logo BusinessWeek uses and have been thinking maybe it could be done in our orange instead of red and maybe ‘Gay’ could be filled in instead of the entire phrase white
Hello. Here are two logos. They are submitted without any effects added. If you would like to see anything else, please let me know.
