Hi all. This is a $100 logo contest for Jagged Mind Media. Winner agrees to let us use the graphic without further compensation, but if/when the time comes for extra graphics or creatives, there'll be further payment for more work. We'll expect the winner to deliver the winning graphic in multiple file formats for ease of use. We have a general idea of what we're looking for, but the contest is open to any submission. When I envision the graphic, I see a cartoony brain with a devious but happy face on it. Maybe place it on a 7 or 8 pointed star in the backdrop, or on something shaped like a circular saw blade, to emphasize the Jagged aspect. Just an idea. Please either put JAGGED MIND or JAGGED MIND MEDIA somewhere on graphic, whatever fits best, but should be in a fun font and color scheme to match the graphic. Not just black and white, and please don't use a half dozen color groups. For inspiration, I'm fond of the playful nature of the Liquid Generation logo - http://www.liquidgeneration.com/ - both in the font and color used, as well the face graphic. I really like the simple nature of their logo. We're looking to achieve something similar WITHOUT COPYING WHAT THEY HAVE. We're looking for unique graphics of your own design. Can you get more devious with the face, kind of a devilish grin? It's missing the brain. And looking for a font with more character. Is the face graphic of your own design, or a canned graphic?
looks like a devil-ish grin to me I tried making the devilish grin and the brain, but they never fitted in AT ALL!! I tried finding one and making one. But it's difficult :/ ^LMAO. That's the best I could come up with..and it looks like a person that just got into trouble, with a cheeky smile. lol I like my first attempts Any changes u want on them apart from the font? I tried the brain thing too and it just NEVER fitted in
I've been trying to hunt down some examples for you... For the face, picture this shot of Lemony Snickets http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/movie/lemony/04.jpg in a cartoony look (but with the smile like Liquid Generation)... on a cartoon brain. For the 7 or 8 pointed star, perhaps I didn't describe it well, but I meant in the campy Batman KAPOW kind of way, like shown here - http://www.whatwhat.co.uk/whatblog/wp-content/kapow_web.jpg. This is just an idea for background, none if needed if you come up with something nice without. Hard a hard time finding an example of the brain. Something along these lines - http://abnormalbrain.bizland.com/brainfreeze.jpg - but obviously without the icicles and an appropriate face and color. Hope that helps.
Here's my shot at it - I originally started this design for another media company contest (At another Location) & sadly entered a bit late in their competition, This missed out on consideration.
