Contest $100 for .css / images redesign on simple site - news.iphoneworld.ca - 72hours

Hey folks,

I'm looking for someone to do a redesign of the .css style and the image files (logo/background, etc) on http://news.iphoneworld.ca .

The site is a news 2.0 generator about the iPhone, currently it uses the default theme. The code is very simple, all styles are based on .css, and there's not many images to change.

Basically I would like it to look different from what it does now, more attractive.

I will pay $100 to whoever can change/edit the .css / images.

PLEASE NOTE: as #1 stage, I'd like you to make a mockup of your design suggestion. Post it here, if I accept it I will ask you to do the .css/graphic files implementation.

As I said it's $100. "Implementation" consists of modifying stelysheet .css and image files (see the .zip file). There's no need to touch actual template files (.html). And before the implementation is done I need to see a mockup.

 

Just to clarify: I do not want you to modify the actual templates. Everything is placed where it should be.

I only want the fonts (styles, colors, sizes, etc...) modified, as well as the background/header/other images, for a more tech-oriented website appearance.

All styles are contained in css files, and are clearly marked, images are simple and easy to edit (writings should remain the same).

For someone that knows .css and can work with an image editor this shouldn't take long.

Great I'll keep it open for three days for everyone to have time to submit entries. In the meantime if you'll have something early I'll certainly let you know if I like it or not, and if anything needs changing.

 

Is the header area needed to be that high? Are you planning to use ads on that area or can that area be adjusted to be a little thinner in height?

You can adjust it, if that's what you'd like to do. Currently there's a small banner ad under the header as you can see, but that's not essential.
