$100 for best header / home page re-design

Hello,

I will pay $100 to the person who posts the best re-design image of the following home page by Friday, June 8 at 8:00 PM, PST:

It needs a unique header image across the entire top, with a unique logo. (Use a header size that accommodates the most common monitor sizes.) It also needs a unique credit cards payment image indicating that the payment is secure (like a "padlock" or whatever).

The design is completely wide open. You can be as creative as you like. Show off what you can do! I've seen many amazing designs in this forum by incredibly talented designers. I put my trust in your creativity. Only 2 simple things are mandatory:

1. Must accommodate the existing text and links.

2. Must be fast-loading.

I have 10 other simple home pages to re-design. The winner of this contest will have the "inside track" on those projects, and others.

It's a good start, but I need the whole page re-designed, as mentioned in the contest description. You don't have to keep the existing colors or html of the site, either. I need a completely different design.

Ariestoteles . . . wow! Nice job. I really like it. However, I'm getting the feeling that maybe I wasn't clear enough in my contest description. I need the entire home page re-designed to make it look totally different. I don't want the money/lock in the header image, either. I need the credit card image to be a separate, unique icon/image (placed somewhere on the home page) that shows all of the major credit cards (Visa/MC/American Express/Discover) merged with some sort of "lock" to indicate transaction security.

If I can clarify anything for you, please don't be afraid to ask. Again, GREAT job! You're definitely in the lead right now.

mikozv, nice job. This is the first entry that contains what I require--a fully-redesigned home page.

I'd like to see more colors/photos mixed in with your header, like in Ariestoteles' header. I don't want any indication of "money" in the header, so no credit card image. Most importantly, there has to be a unique logo in the header. I really love Ariestoteles' logo. That's more of the direction I want to take with this site--vibrant and branded.

I have also add a picture of safe payment, finely behind the credit card thumbnails.

 

Much better, but I think it's a little too "blurry" in the photo areas. I want crisp, vibrant, and clear.

I also want a distinctive logo integrated into the left-hand side of the header, similar to what Ariestoteles did. (I don't like those 3 little boxes on top of each other, as they don't contribute anything to the educational/writing theme.)

Hereby my design for the contest. I haven't coded it entirely yet, because some work will get into this. And I dont want that time to be wasted if I won't win.

I decided to go for the 'less is more' concept. Since the website is a 'tool' for students, and everything has to be clear the instant they get to the website.

I have 2 versions for display at the moment, both are the same layout, but they are centered in a different way. Tell me what you like, and what I could improve.

Haha, now we're talkin'! Good job.

1. I would get rid of the big gap between the excellent logo and the first photo. Cut that gap in half. Maybe just reveal a little more of each photo to help close the gap.

2. I would also suggest that you organize the images EXACTLY like this, from left to right:

students/books/students/term paper with "A+" written on it/students

3. Can you remove the reflections in the top, horiozontal menu of the home page?

I like the centered one more. It could use a few creative icons/pics mixed in for color. The most important part, however, is the uniquely-branded logo. Currently, you only have text where the logo should be.

1. I definitely need a header with a unique, brandable logo mixed into it.

2. I would remove that huge image altogether, and move the main body-text section up to take its place.

3. I think it needs more color.

4. It needs to include a custom image that communicates the security of payments for Visa/Mastercard/American Express/Discover. (No JCB or DCI, please.)

This is my next updated version of header, I've ordered pictures according to order, first you have to buy some scripts, books, etc., than you learn (students at pictures) and last thing is exam, term paper, and graduation. I hope you will like it:

 

I have not made any changes, as I am not experienced in making logos. (still learning everything).

If you choose to use my layout, we could lower the price, so you can get a logo for that amount. Not saying that you are choosing my layout ofcourse, but I'd wanted to open some options.
