Its Open Source and there is no cost involved in it.

2) How is the item inventory implemented? If your site was offering over 200 items, would you need to manually enter each item and description?
Dropshipper provides spreadhsheet with all the products and you need to add it to the site. I added manually to the site.

3) I am curious to the reputation of the drop-shipper the site is using. How could I research them prior to purchasing this site?
Dropshipper is one of the best in business as i have dealt with them before and they are very co-operative. Even i had called them once and they are too good in communication.
