$ 100 - Corporate Logo Design Contest

I have recieved a couple of requests for extending this deadline for a day - some designers are working on this and i would not like to deny them an oppportunity.

The deadline has been extended by a day to accomodate everyone who have started work on this - i apologise for the inconvenience caused to some of you.

I will put up the remaining feedback in some time.

Logo is combination of "S" and "O", just thought to go out of "BOX" and "Square" theme.

Hello everyone,

Its time for some feedback and move on to the next step. We have shortlisted 3 guys for the design and the winner takes all - logo / letterhead / name card and will also get to re-design the website.

Let me begin with the feedbacks in order of participation - please note that this is my opinion and i apologise if it looks judgemental :

1) Istvan - Just dint like your designs.

2) Proficient - You try too much - which results in a poor outcome and should watch out against giving a lot of logos to the client - give only one but it should look like a serious effort.

3) Mirror - You were the frontrunner at one point but the refinement we expected from you dint come through. Kindly note that the mirror image you provide can only look good on the website and not a name card - so if you provide with a mirror option - YOU MUST provide a name card option.

4) [x[x[x - Good designs - both of them - it shows that your thinking is different. The fonts and color combinations looked really sleek and classy. Congrats - you are shortlisted !

5) ALEX - I must say you were the best tryer but i guess you couldnt read my mind - rather i dint get what i wanted from you. I will use your skills soon on a different project. Good work !

6) Xpressions - After a couple of mediocre ones a sudden brilliance. I guess his designs are a perfect example of why you should provide the designs on the envelope, name card, letterhead - that gives a better idea. If you all see closely - his earlier entry had this logo or atleast it was a close design but dint have the same impact. Congrats - you are shortlisted !

7) Fidel Castro - I can say that you tried without your heart.

8) Simplyg - You have a few miles to go before you can surge some heights - may be some skill polishing. Please note that most company logos will not be in B/W.

9) SNiiP3R - Your design dint look impressive but your colors were brilliant. you just lacked that last bit of creativity.

10) Zmaja - dont think you wanted to make a serious try.

11) Addictedtofate - Your skills have impressed me and i was the single guy in the decision making who pressed for your shortlisting. You have yet to show your skills with letterhead, name card and the envelope designs. You are shortlisted !

12) Jamess - I wish you could have used some better colors - outside the basic colors. You were the unlucky one to miss out as we dint want the shortlist to be LONG. I will use your skill soon with some other projects.

13) DaveyBoy - Your logo was just text and dint represent a company.

14) retzseo - Your logo was subtle and seems like you have a different way of expression - you stand out as some one who makes simple designs but very subtly. You are short listed !

15) Brainstormingin - Sorry those werent discussed.

16) CoolWanz - Neither were yours.

17) Crowquill - We dint notice your work - it dint catch the eye.

18) Raghav - A late entry but you missed out on the essence of '1' - i appreciate that you tried to think different but '1' showcases our skill in promoting a website to no.1 in search engine rankings and it is very important for us. Thanks for your efforts.


I hope that i have done justice to everyones efforts and that everyone would agree with my shortlisting. Thanks to everyone for participating.

The shortlisted candidates need to PM me with answer to 2 simple questions - Can you design a fully functional website template - coded ? and Whats your turnaround time ?
