I would need a level map for a game that I'm working on. Here's the title screen and gameplay screen as a reference: The map would need to be 640x480 and use a VERY SIMILAR style as the current graphics of the game. The map would need to show a path across some mountains and trees (same mountain and trees drawing style). In case you'd need some inspiration, you can see below the current map for the first version of the game, which can be played here: The new map doesn't have to be an island. I only need the background of the map since I'll add the blue buttons and clouds myself later. There will be a total of 11 levels (11 blue buttons). The winner will be paid $100 on Paypal. I will need to receive the layered PSD version or the AI version. Also, if I like your graphics, I'll probably want to hire you for more work related to this game (if you're available). If you have any question let me know!
Hey Can i have the psd of the logo and some psd for the initial graphics so i can take que from there and do the re design! Will help if i get this! Thanks KF
I've uploaded the layered PSD version of the background: http://www.solidgames.com/SR2-Background.psd
kferguson: I like that you used a very similar style to the actual graphics of the game. And I also like the idea of a path through the mountains. But I think the graphics could be greatly improved.
akhilrs: Thanks for your submission! I like the map but would have some suggestions: - draw the mountains using the same color palette as the current mountains from the game (white, gray, etc) - draw a path between the mountains where I could add the 11 blue buttons for the levels. Maybe you could draw the path using a similar style/color as the brown foreground during gameplay? - expand the map so it doesn't look like an island and remove some of the bushes (please refer to the image below).
ktnptkr: Thanks for your submission! I prefer your last version, but I think the overall look could still be improved (especially the green area at the bottom). Maybe you could recreate the same kind of green hills as in the actual background of the game? Also, please note that the level buttons should be the same as the blue ones from the first version of the game (shown in my original post). akhilrs: Thanks for the revision! Please note that the level buttons should be the same size as the ones from the first version of the game. kferguson: Thanks for the revision. But I think the overall look could be improved to look more professional. And as I wrote before, the level buttons should be the same as the blue ones from the first version of the game (shown in my original post).
akhilrs: Thank for the revision! I like your map, but I think it would look better if the mountains would rise higher. Also, the plains look kind of odd since they seems blurry and transparent. Please look at the image here. Also, could you try spreading the level buttons since they are all very close together? ktnptkr: Thanks for the revision. I like your map too, but could you remove the inside shadow around the top edges of the mountains? There's also some areas that I think could be improved, please take a look at the image here. brainstormingin: I like your map, but to be honest it is a bit too different compared to the actual graphics of the game. Maybe you could make it look more similar? Thanks!
