Repost of mine as inline graphic, rather than linked thumbnail. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you
I decided to come up with one, I tried more of a professional looking design so let me know what you think, and how I could improve it, or if you're looking for something totally different altogether. You can click the image to view it full size. Thanks! EDIT: I did another one, again, let me know what you think.
HEre is mine I went for a totally different design but i thought it will fit Ok with your blog V1 V2 Any feedbacks are welcome
Dear Contestants, First of all I like to thank you kindly for the exceptionally good participation! So far I have seen a wide range of design and ideas, varying a lot in style, color or personal taste. Some used professional font types, others experimented on colors and yet others gave free rein to their own creativity. Well, not to beat around the bush – at the present moment I still prefer our original logo. (But don't worry; in the end we will choose a winner – regardless of whether we will take over his/her design or not.) I hope you don’t take it amiss if at this stage I can’t give individual feedback on each logo concept. To be honest I didn’t see anything so far that would be similar to what I had in mind (the same with my brother Robert). I feel sorry to say, but some logo designs go completely off the subject – even if they are worked out professional. It’s not easy to explain what you are looking for if you don’t know what to expect, but I will at least try to help you with some more general hints. Above all else I think it’s important to realize that we are not looking for an ordinary business logo with the appropriate font types, because the subject is different. There rather should be a visible difference in style that fits to our blog and web-shop. Please note that our blogs title “Bunte Steine†(“Colorful Stonesâ€) does not only refer to stones but also stands for a wide variety of topics discussed in the blog (in a transferred sense). That’s the reason why I personally for example would prefer a colorful lettering, preferably using pure colors (like the kind of Google colors we were using in the original concept). In the meantime I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to further develop the current logo (which uses “Curlz MT†as font type). But your own ideas are still welcome… Best regards, Christian P.S.: Thanks again for all your hard work (deadline is still on 17th of February 2008)!
Is western union an option for payment method? Please, Let me know if that possible. Here are my designs. Feedback please..
Hello to RNHalawi.com, Yes, you’re absolutely on the right lines with your first entry. Your (first) logo concept comes very close to what I had in mind. In the first place I like the font type you have chosen, because it is artistically in an individual style but at the same time quite classical. It fits in any case well to the original logo design without just copying it – well done! But what a good idea with the dot on the i in form of a kind of star-shaped kaleidoscope* pattern (why didn’t I have that idea before?)! I like it because the kaleidoscope has a connection to colorful stones (“Bunte Steineâ€) – its patterns usually emerge from colorful little pebbles or glass stones. But in addition to that there is a connection in transferred sense, because our blog is also a kind of kaleidoscope on stones (like I mentioned in an earlier contribution): a colorful mix of topics around stones. So, please carry on with that idea and proposal! Although it is still an early stage in this competition and I do not know what to expect but at this stage you are favorite. Nevertheless some little suggestions for improvement of your logo: - The shades are well chosen, but the color intensity could be more lively or vivacious - You should add the slogan (“Das Weblog von Mineralium.comâ€) – maybe you also have a good idea on that font? - I’m afraid that the logo is getting a little bit too high in size – maybe the star-shaped dot on the i could be a little bit smaller? - Perhaps you could post some variations? Thank you very much so far and of course thanks to all other participants as well! Greetings, Christian * For those who did not know about the meaning of the word “kaleidoscopeâ€: A kaleidoscope is an optical toy consisting of a cylinder with mirrors and colored beads or pebbles inside that create beautiful shifting symmetrical patterns when the end is rotated (have a look at Google Image Search!).
