    Hi,

    Is it wise to create 100 BANS store and promote them? Do you think good money can be made with it?

    I am ready to invest and devote the time required. Do you think its worth giving a try.

    Regards,
    Ajeet

    Yes, very wise with emphasis on "promote" and on adding relevant content.

    I saw your store and I liked the design..Do you get the custom banners and designs done?

    Have you seen success with BANS yet?

    Thanks for your response.

    I can see Google getting annoyed at all these BANS sites and de-indexing them eventually.

    As long as there are no rover links present and no "powered by" footer, there is nothing to worry about.

    That is coming shortly and, I agree, don't use that "powered by" thingy. There'll be no footprint.

    I say someone makes a tutorial site on how to make your own BANS script. That would be brilliant! Because:

    A) Google won't de-index it.
    B) The tutorial site owner will get a rush of traffic.

    It's a kind of win-win situation, except if you don't know PHP / eBay Publisher Script.

    Why would Google De-index it? There's nothing wrong with BANs. You're not selling links, trying to deceive people, etc. It's just easy to put up.

    If Google de-index BANs just because it is easy to put up, then by that logic, people using Wordpress along with Wordpress Templates would have been de-indexed a long time ago.

    BANS is a tool just like WordPress, as has been mentioned. As such, it does not force all sites derived from it into and indistinguishable mold which is the assumption made in statements that Google assuredly will go on the warpath against all BANS made sites.

    Like any other tool, it's all about how BANS is used. The added content I build into each page, the blog I append to it and the niche I choose from among thousands will not be identical to another person's BANS site. Nor, will the extraordinary :D efforts I put into promotion be a mirror image of what someone else does.

    I just don't understand what it is the doomsayers are concerned about, unless they're just tossing up unaltered, untreated BANS sites hoping something will stick. I need a lot more evidence before I'll join in the doom and gloom prophecy. I see an awful lot of fear based assertions in forums like this that never materialize.

    There is nothing to worry about with using the BANS script or any other site infused with Auction listins. The key is to build upon your niches and market accordingly.

    Add content to your sites. It's the best way to keep Google at bay. That and removing the rover links, but that's coming in BANS 3.

    Setting up 100 BANS sites is kind of scatter-shot. I think you'd sell more with 15 well promoted sites with several pages of content or a blog attached.

    Finding the correct market with mass promotion is the key to making money with BANS.

    So I think its good idea to give it a try. What all you do to promote the site?

    I also have seen other scripts but not sure which is the best one.

    because they don't offer anything, nothing original, it's just another storefront for ebay..... they might not be de-indexed, but they will drop so far down, that they might as well be dropped....

    from google's guidelines...

    ================
    Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.

    If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
    ================

    BANS is exactly what google says is "bad quality".....

    Well, I'm completely familiar with the Google Webmaster Guidelines and my BANS sites are in compliance. Please specify where Google has expressly asserted that BANS sites are "bad quality" as you stated.
