    Ok thanks for the BID.

I just wanted to clarify that you are bidding for the following.
    1) Domain
    2) License to use the way we display the data

You will then have to pay $100 per month for the data.

The buyer will get 100% full support from us as we want to make this work.

From this one thread, it's already made $6.80 (The site was registered yesterday morning, and this is the only place ANYWHERE were it was even mentioned)..

That's from not more than a handful of visitors. If you sell one domain a day, you'd make money. The site runs it's self, all you need to do is promote it.

Hi..went through the process and pre-registered a domain name using your website which showed it had 18 hours to go to being dropped. Checked this morning (12 hours later) and found it doesn't expire until 2008 which is not quite 18 hours away!! Now i guess i am going to have to fight godaddy to get the 20$ back it cost me to pre-register that $5 domain. Not sure how this little mishap occurred. Any ideas?

    Do You mean backorder ?
If so, You might not even get it. Someone else could just buy it.

I think the expiery date is set by all registrars like this until it actualy dropps or is sold.
This is so You have the possibility to get an "old" domain fairly cheap.

Unless the original owner takes it back, it is yours in a few days (I average about 3 days).. So far, I have bought ~10 myself, and haven't lost any. If the original owner does take it back you get a complete refund (I don't know if you get refunded the tdnam membership which is good for a year).

The 2008 expiration date will either be for your renewal, or the orginal owner, which ever ends up being applicable.

I have run a similar website since may, and have had ZERO complaints.. Not a single one, and we are talking almost 500 transactions.

These are not really backorder domains.. These are domains that have expired, and the original owners have less than a week to reclaim them before they are permanently lost to them. When you "buy" one, it is yours unless the original owner, and only the original owner steps in at the last moment and takes it back. The site has already been down for over a month, and they haven't claimed it yet, so the odds are pretty good that they aren't going to get it now.

Once you buy it you are not competing against anyone except the original owner.. Your not trying to catch it, you have caught it.

Oplaxx, By now you should have recieved the domain, and everything should be resolved. Did you have any issues with it?

Sharpmind was the winner at $15, but I can't get ahold of j4md0nut (who was selling this on my behalf), or sharpmind (PM went unanswered). If sharpmind backs out I will be offering the site to the next highest bidder(s), at their bid price.
