    Maybe you are targeting a general keyword about religion. Try to mix it up with a very specific keyword.

    Make sure font and color are consistant with the site. Make it EXACTLY the same. Also, best placement is bottom of article. Give them a place to go next.

    did u use image + text ads. They are more enticing in my opinion and garners more clicks for my blog.

    Ad placement is critical. Putting them above the fold is important in getting a better CTR. Don't overload though.

    Don't expect too much from referral traffic. It would be better if you could do some SEO to gain some organic traffic and see the difference yourself.
