Looks like WP stats which would mean those are page views not people. Shit load of page views though.

I guarantee the 7.95 hostagtor plan will NOT handle that kind of traffic on any sustainable basis... but what might help is the wp Super cache plugin.

I'm on the 7.95 plan and there are 517 other sites on the server and they will definitely hit you with too much cpu usage.

Digg users won't be clicking all over your ads, so that isn't the metric you should use for success. Instead, drive them to subscribe to your feed, and try to measure links from other sources caused by the Digg. If you're getting on Digg's front page but not converting any Digg-referred visitors into return visitors or building links, there is no reason to continue being on Digg.

i disagree with joshklein. If Moin.Anjum is capadble of letting such traffic every day, then with good CPM network combining with Adsense/other PPC he can really earn a lot. from my experience Digg users click very often, because they entered Your site to see one subject, read it and go further - to moost important is to have outer links near for them :)

I'd get a decent VPS host first.

I'd also PM me with your Digg methods ;)

Congratulations on the Digging, I've tried that myself and it can be very hard to get even a good story noticed unless you have a network of buddies to help you out by digging your stuff - I'm not sure if that's strictly allowed but I'm sure it's what happens. Anyone know any Digg superusers? Lol

I think for the good of the community you should disclose all the secrets to your success and share - you'll feel great for doing it I'm sure. Think of all the people you'd be making happy.

I'd also look at getting a dedicated server, although I've found our hostgator dedicated server actually works slower than our hostgator shared account! Which is pretty good really. If you want superfast websites and have the money to pay for it, then Rackspace is where you want to go.

You have to hit the front page to generate that amount of traffic. To do so is quite an accomplishment. I've submited over 30 articles to digg, and the farthest I got was "hot" on the upcomming part and not a lot of peple do that.

How about your rank on Search Engine? My experience, digg, stumble just temporary and wont increase our earning.

Been busy in work so couldn't reply.

    1- I was using WP-Stats (Built-in if you are hosting it on wordpress.com - mywebsite.wordpress.com for example)
Sole reason: Since my personal blog is on shared hosting and it was hit by the digg effect once and got myself suspended, I got a temp blog on wordpress to see if I can hit it again, which I did.

2- Digg users do click on ads, not the majority but if 70 to 80,000 people are visiting your blog.. then I would say "atleast" 50 to 100 would click out of those 80,000 people which is good enough for 1 day.

3- Yes, main concern should be transforming them into readers if you're primary target is traffic from google/search engines.

4- Regarding the servers, yup, I had a chance to talk to hostgator again and this time they refused. I found out another company though. It's called Drupal and their $40 per month looks like a good deal.

5- (For everyone who pm'ed me) - Best deal to get yourself noticed is the content or something that actually interest anyone. It can be a small picture only but something which gains attention!

I've been reading books and everything and there are many ways to get anyone's attention. You have to be creative! I don't want to go in detail here because it's not what I can teach you, it's what you have to understand yourself (By actually reading good stuff) .. Though, I'll give you an example!

I'll take a example of DP forums.

You click on a certain category, say general marketing and you confront 2 topics in front of you.

1- I wanna make money, need help
2- Marketing tactics that will help you gain 20000 visitors per day easily

Which one would you click first? Ofcourse the 2nd one because it gains "Attention" .. you need to observe / study other's behavior, their mentality.. find what attracts others and that's the key!

Now there are variations, a LOT of variations on how to do that. Can't explain it here .. will take too long.

On a note: I'm not someone who claims to know a lot or a SEO expert or someone who can drive or get a topic on digg Front page whenever I want to. Everything needs to be properly researched and that's about it.

That's some serious traffic, if you can manage to sustain it then getting a dedicated server is a must. Appreciate you sharing your wisdom on the subject, it's just hard to believe that day in and day out you can come up with something that is interesting to "everyone" and get that kind of traffic. Be interested in hearing if you can keep your traffic up.

I didn't mean to suggest that have 70,000-80,000 visits from Digg won't net you any ad revenue. But if you're only getting 50-100 clicks on your ads, you could benefit tremendously from a different call to action on your page. If you work on converting Digg visitors to return visitors or subscribers, you'll be able to reap long term benefits as well.
