    Hey,

I'm not saying I have one, but if I had an email list with over 100,000 double opt-in members on it all in the internet marketing niche, do you think I could drive sales? Looking for an honest opinion.

If they know what they are receiving and it is not just random emails, then yes it could have a very good chance if it is a good item that ur selling.

It comes down to your relationship with your list,if u send them emails with good info and them if u try to sell they may buy but do not expect anything if u r just going to sell them every time.

    Hey kshaikh,

First of all, my list size is not 100,000 members yet, but I have 12 lists with around 80,000 members, all in the internet marketing niche, and grows by about 300 people per day now, so I should reach 100,000 in no time. I'm 16 years old and have building my list since right before I turned 14, so it does take some time. I haven't bothered trying to sell them stuff, because I've heard bad stories that if I try to sell too often, then people would quickly unsubscribe. So I'm scared of selling, but it's been over 2 years of free info and valuable content, so I might try to start selling now.

Also, to answer your question, I would never sell my list:) Not after all my work. You just have to take action and find the right methods to use to help you get a big list.

I think the most important part about email marketing is the creativity that goes into the subject line.. Be descriptive and catchy and accurate. If you had a list that big. I would spend the money to have a company write your email topic for you. I am personally terrible at writing (so I would hire someone credible to do it for me). I'd bet money that you'd see an increase in sales if you had a solid product and a well written email... Good luck..

There are people with lists of 60k and less that make 100k and upwards a year, some times even millions.

If you've got 80k subscribers you are sitting on a gold mine. Don't worry about unsubscribes, EVERYONE gets that when they try and sell something or even just give free content, as long as you have people still joining your list it REALLY isn't a problem.

Great effort for a guy so young. If you need any advice, I work for a guy with almost 70k subscribers and he promotes two products a week to them EVERY week! I'd be happy to give you some advice if you like or work out some cross promotions. Just PM me.

May i ask what techniques you have used for traffic generation? I assume you are using squeeze pages?

I'd just keep stockpiling these optins and be good to them!:) Give them a reason to click your emails.. Whatever your niche is, offer hot rich newsletters that provide information rather than products so that you build trust with them.

That is really awesome... 100k email list...

I wonder if you could share how you make the email list steadily grow by 300 a day.

I'll tell you one of my methods, which is combining Twitter and Tweetlater just to share, but I do have several other methods which are responsible for my list's massive growth. Twitter launched like a couple months after I started building my list, so I've been using it pretty much since it's launch. I might think of releasing a product that tells exactly how I do it and all the methods I use, if anyone would be interested in that

Remember though, that is not my only method, I have several others. I'm just saying that Twitter and Tweetlater is one of my methods with two of the sites I use. Again, later in the future I might be releasing something with the sites I use and the methods I use to build a massive list. It did take time before, but now that I've almost perfected the methods I've had at least over 300 people per day opting in. I had a great day yesterday with 437 people opting in to my lists. Remember, I also have 12 lists, not just one, but they're all in the internet marketing niche.

I edit my twitter account automation options on Tweetlater to make sure that if someone follows me, I follow them right back automatically. I also have it so that when someone follows me the system will automatically send them a message telling them to get a free report by visiting a website which has my opt-in form on it. I use gmail for automatic sending to my followers on twitter, as it's the most effective. I have also used viral tweet softwares before and have scheduled automated tweets to go out at certain times. Hope that helped in the Tweetlater aspect

Twitter and Tweetlater alone gets me about 35-40 optins a day, so as you can see it's only a small part of my list building efforts. As you may know, you can only follow 2000 people until you have 2000 people following you, then you can follow unlimited people. There is a website that allows you to unfollow from people if they aren't following you. I wait about 3-5 days after I follow them to see if they're following me, and if they're not I unfollow them, so I can follow more potential followers

Okay.. How do I go about auto posting on twitter? Is this possible in tweetlater? I set up 12 tweets but it looks like it just does the 12 and then it stops right? Or does it repost the same ones after an hour or what? If not where can I get software to auto post on twitter? Thanks by the way.. Really cool info!

Hey, what I mean by auto posting is that you can schedule a tweet at a certain time, say for example 3 am tomorrow morning. You write the tweet or as many tweets as you like schedule them to each be sent at different dates and/or times and choose which Twitter account you want the tweets to be automatically be sent from. It's quite easy. Sign up for tweetlater with your twitter account(s), then click the tab that says accounts, then click the button that says "Manage this account's scheduled tweets." The button looks like a calendar. Beside it, there is a button that will allow you to set up and edit your account's automation. Hope that helps.

The first three people to shoot me a pm will get all my methods and sites I use for free to help you build your list.

*Please note though that you may not get the techniques until Sunday or Monday because I'm gonna be really busy this weekend. So don't get mad at me if you don't get them for a couple days

It all depends on your subject line and landing page. I would guess out of 100,000 emails you may get a 1-20 sales. If you have an excellent landing page maybe more.

    I wish you luck!

If the list is a focused niche list then its worth trying. use a magnetic subject line with excellent landing page. It can convert well.
