On all my sites I try to get a large add on the top left, as that is where most people place their eyes first, not sure how you can do it on this site though, maybe a skyscraper.
Its because the niche u have choosed pays less ..probably 3 cents for a click and main reason is ctr ..for that amount of impressions u r getting less clicks i suppose and try to use image ads ..as image ads get more clicks then banner ads any ways ur placement is good
