What I need is a banner that can be the header for a website and also be the logo over the pocket of a tee shirt. I'm thinking 4 to 6 colors. Red, yellow, orange, black perhaps. It's biker stuff, flames and the like are always cool. Motorcycle images and eagle images and Maltese crosses work too. Take the initial dimensions you use into consideration when planning or choosing them for a website header and over pocket silk screened shirt logo. Images that can be reduced to buttons or cropped to meaningful buttons are a plus. Here are two posters that show the type text effects I'm hoping for. http://www.riderinfo.com/leesburg-bikefest/ These posters overall however are a bit more then I expect, they are examples for the text. But they give a good idea of the type of artwork that is used to advertise to bikers. Bikers seem to like this guy's style too, Dave Mann. http://home.att.net/~knucklehead-47/dmann.htm But again, these are examples and way too much for this job and need. I hoping they can help get the idea across though. Bikers and Motorcyclists. The text that MUST be used is: Ocala Bikefest Option Text: Florida, Motorcycle Rally The point is to have people see it on a shirt or a website and know it like it's an old friend and what it means. I will likely post this announcement in more then one place. I can pay via Paypal or secure CC gateway. The deadline is, well, let's just say I got this job way too late, so ASAP. I'll post if I get someone I can work with to end it, when and if that comes to pass.
Thanks for the reply. I've got approximately 4 inches x 4 inches on the pocket of a tee shirt or pocket area to work with. That comes out to 288px x 288px in photoshop it seems. So I would guess we need to stay within that for the best results as a website header, we don't want it too tall there. Plus we want is to be nice, but still silk screenable onto a shirt. Thanks again.
How's this for the shirt logo? Its just a prototype. Subject to change. I havent experimented with the fonts either, and i might change the placing of the text. Let me know what you think. If you like it, i'll continue in this direction, otherwise ill start somethign new.
Let me get the boss involved. I like where you are going, you get the idea. I just don't know shirts and how that works. I need a couple of hours to get back to ya. Thank you very much.
The boss said more generic. He didn't like the motorcycles. He thinks it needs to be more generic. He did say nice work, but be more generic, no motorcycles. I think the point is Sport bikes and Cruisers are welcome, but I'm guessing. Thanks for getting in raghav and aceman.
thanks for the feedback noppid. i still dont get what exactly your boss is saying. generic means that it should be more representative of ALL bikes. correct? and what do you mean by sports bikes? i thought those were sports bikes!!! anyway, id appreciate it if you could explain, in a little more detail, what exactly it is that you want. do you want me to make one without any sort of bike at all. if you want a bike, maybe an example (name, model) would help. thanks again noppid. =)
It's my birthday and I don't want to deal with this today, but, that's big biz I guess! So, I'm going to get my butt down to the promoter and register him here at DP and let him tell ya directly. Alot is lost in translation. Thanks
Can I please add that as this will be printing for tshirts that designs should be made in 300dpi. I would want a designer to win and find out they've done it wrong. My entry will be in later today.
Sorry for the double post. Here is a mockup of my concept. Front bike wheel, representing the O. I can go more detailed on the bike wheel if needed (adding brakes & suspension) but I was unsure on how much detail you wanted. I've been staring at it for a while and think it's quite a memorable logo. And a 100% fullsize preview; The design is 4" x 4" at 300dpi (the standard for printing). Feedback is appreciated. Apologies for the longwinded post, I had a lot to say.
I personally like the idea of the wheel for the O in Ocala. I'm forwarding all of these for review by the boss as well. Thank you
Here's another one WITHOUT bikes, but WITH a bike wheel. Just until your boss provides some more details!!! I'd appreciate feedback since im pretty new at all this. =)
