10 Year old domain, 1 yr of content, Many Backlinks, Good onpage seo, still ZERO PR?

I just can't understand why I'm still at a ZERO pr, it's too strange..

If you check out my domain http://www.carbonfiberhoods.com in market samurai you will see that it's 10 years old, I've owned it this whole time.

I have plenty of back links. Many good relevant links. Good related link exchanges.

I'm not sure what else I can possibly do here, I even added a niche specific word press carbon blog and updated that.

Am I shooting myself in the foot? is my page over saturated with key words, maybe I am doing something wrong here. I see some really horrible websites with very few links getting PR2 in my niche, I'm just baffled when I see these pages scoring a higher PR than my page.

    Please advise! Thanks!

Also, I understand that SERP's are what really matter but I think PR is related to that, for instance: a website selling an "orange widget" with PR0 will usually not outrank a website selling an "orange widget" with a PR2. I think PR is part of the equation, combined with a lot of other things.

PR is the end result of the equation.

And you still have PR0 because the pr hasn't been updated for a loong loong time.
But just keep focussing on getting higher in the serp.
There are enough examples of sites with zero or low pr ranking higher than their higher pr competitors.
Don't worry too much about it. (hope this answers your question)

You cannot expect a good pagerank just because they are 10 years old. The were emptied for a whole 9 years and only one last year you just created those content. Your website would be defined as one year old and not ten.

Apart from that, pagerank has nothing to do with website ranking anymore. I have seen many low pagerank website beaten over higher pagerank website in competitive keywords by myself.

The only thing what has something to do with PR is the amount of backlinks and outgoing links.. so domain age, relevancy etc doesn't matters at all

to have 10 year old domain or many backlinks is not sufficient to get a good PR.

check out few other aspects also.

    1. Does your content is keyword rich and original. Google gives negative points to duplicate contents which strongly affects the PR
    2. Does your website is optimized for search engine robots and crawled by googlebot? Search Engine crawlers does not crawl images? They requires information in text format.
    3. check out your keyword density for each page, title relevancy, description, which should be as per the Google standards.
    4. Is your domain is penalized by google for any reason? at any time? did you solved and resubmit your site?
    5. Did you submit your domain to search engine directories? do you have Google webmasters account?

There are many more factors involved in getting a good PR. Re-Check your SEO Strategy and if required Change it.

First of all for a long time no pr updation happened from the side of the Google, means the value of PR, if Google is not updating the PR, is going down. To get the good pr there is a need to get quality, theme base and relevant links. And that you can get by the traditional way as directory submission or link building or by the smart ways of social media marketing like as social bookmarking, blogging, squidoos, hubpages, social networking, press release submission, article submission etc.

When when you are boosting your site with your work, make that continue, as when the pr would be updated, your site would surely get the good pr.

Another thing to come up with your targeted keywords in the top 10 of google, I don't think there is any need of having good pr. I have promoted various sites from last 9 months and pr is not updated till now, but my sites with the targeted keywords has top 10 results in Google and I am getting good traffic also via Social Media Marketing towards my sites.

Well, http://www.carbonfiberhoods.com made it to PR1 finally! Actually it was PR3 for a short time, then it went to PR1 and has remained there ever since.. Why was it initially PR3 for about a month or so? I have no idea, it would be great to get back to PR3.

I am glad that it reached PR1 ranking though.

There are too much of internal links from main page.
IMO, you really should make then nofollow (except the main one).

I know some of you might disagree with me as internal links doesn't matter, but still they are links and getting share of the link juice.

I was wondering about those no-follow links..

Do you think it my main page had more no-follow links it would be a higher PR since it would be siphoning off PR to other pages? Is that how it works? thanks for checking out the site.
