I agree that search engines are still crucial...when most people are looking for something, they just go to google and type it in

 

Well fella you forgot the single most important one.. And that's offline advertising. I actually find this to be the only method to gain steady traffic without the use of a search engine.

Allot of gas stations here have a cork-board-catch-all for peoples events and services. I had a mission for awhile to get a flyer on every one of these free forums.. I did so and received some good conversions from it.

I usually leave abour 20 flyers in my outfit for such things. I also do it when i travel. Business cards work well too

I also looked into using my friends as well. I've got a few in high places that if i ever started some niche website related to there practice. I could get some advertising through them.

But yeah I'm a social butterfly so.. The offline thing may or may not work for others. It's all in how much driving around you really want to do
