Everybody writes lists on how to succeed at blogging and making money online. So I thought I’d go against the grain and compile a list of how to achieve the opposite... Read on here

    Hope you enjoy the article!

    Thanks :)

    Thanks.

I like these lists because they let me know if I'm doing anything wrong rather than if I'm doing anything right.

Great tips... my main downfall is Irregularity, though been using Future Calendar and that seems to be working a treat. Especially when writing your pillar articles that you release every 3 days or so.

Yep. I use my timestamp on Wordpress if I suddenly have an idea for like 5 posts. Then I can spread them across days and leave them appear.

Hi, I think you have listed quite a thorough list of blogging mistakes. I tend to agree that many bloggers start without a focus and therefore cannot follow through. Blogging is a process that really requires constant updating of your blogs. That is why it is called a "Blog" ie web log in the first place. How can it be a web log when no one is updating the log? ;)

awesome! With our new site I'm slipping into the blogging world to keep content fresh. Many of these items seem like common sense; however, its good to see someone going against the grain.

Hey that's a great list, thanks for sharing. How long did it take you to figure these out? I feel like I knew some of your points but not all, now I'd be really interested in seeing a follow-up post from you on 10 things to make a blog successful. Could be interesting to see if there are many differences.
