What NOT to do to generate traffic Never SPAM a message board or email address. Maybe he should reread hit own top 10 list
or maybe he needs to practice what he preaches Maybe we need a spell checking when we post that would help me big time
I noticed the first thing on his list is trafficswarm. If you ever need a good example of a loosing proposition, there you go.
O one more thing.. I do have to admit - a lot of us at least visited some of those crap sites. Would an admin please delete this thread - to prevent others from making the same mistake.
Better to leave it and see the opinions of all of us -- better to discredit so people learn not to bother with sites like those.
- being slightly new to many things around here I went for the trafficswarm a couple of days ago... not due to this thread though and I just decided to try it out for the research... thinking it wouldn't hurt as I don't sell anything (but for Adsense). I'm inclined to concur with others in that it simply doesn't give you anything to join a "bad neighborhood" like that. I'll let it run it's natural course and see what comes of it... maybe let you guys have an update if considered worthwhile - wouldn't bet on it though
I'd certainly be interested to know. I've not ever signed up for a service like that and do not intend to do so. But I would be interested to know what kind of results you recieved.
heh, I used to run one of those sites 3 years ago. Surfwake.com. Had an alexa rating of 30,000 (ish) when i quit. So those programs do work...for the owner of the program. I was able to push links SO easily. Not only that, I would have an affiliate program run through my network and within a day i'd have a couple dozen orders (depending on the affiliate program). There are a lot of Work At Home people hooked on traffic generators like trafficswarm. Too bad most of them haven't taken in up the next level with a blog, forum, or just plain ol' SEO.
I'm learning more reading this forum than reading any other "professional advisors" free or not. First thing I learned long time ago is that traffic doesn't mean anything. I prefer to get 50 "visitors" a day who look for what I sell than 50,000 who click to earn more traffic or to see what and how I do. I learned here how to get on the first pages when people search for what I sell, coz it's what matter. Getting there is not a small task and can't be done overnight. So, all these people giving away advices to generate traffic can keep their tips for themselves. This one has a counter on his main page that shows 15,000 visitors since June 2004. That's around 75 visitors per day in the last 200 days. You owner of a solid PR7 site how much do you generate a day? and it's clean traffic, not "click here to increase your traffic" type of scam. Note: don't blame to much my English unless your French is as good as mine
