Hmm mine had only one step: link building and I usually get indexed within 48 hours.

 

Same here, I haven't submitted a site in years. Just build links and they will find you...

 

i have never submitted my site but such things are necessary before setting up the site online

 

search engine submission can be counter productive. Lets the bots find your site on their own and u'll be indexed much faster.

 

all you need is one link to get index....

 

Your signature link here should assist you get your site listed within 24hrs if you are a regular poster! Or else post a live link one of your posts. Google bot is always around looking for food.

 

Added to one PR6 and one PR5 page yesterday, 34 pages indexed today

I agree, I have some blogs that I never submitted to google and have PR4 only because of links from the pings services...
