Well I decided to cool off with the controversial topics and decided to do more enjoyable type of articles. Remember that these are just 10 of the few things but I think they impact the most let me know what you guys think also if you would like to add to the list then please do so. http://www.gtfaqs.com/2009/01/31/10-things-that-are-killing-the-video-game-industry/
I disagree, I think the gaming industry is more alive than ever now. Also, gaming has suddenly become less nerdy and more acceptable around ladyfolk. You still get your good mix of casual games and hardcore games, so I don't really see what the big fuss is about. And if you want hardcore games, the 360 is filled to the brim with them.
people kill the game industry.. its a rush to money basically.. No one wants to explore anymore.. they whine when they have to walk somewhere in game or take to long to ride something.. cry me a river.. PEOPLE have forgot how to play games.. its a game after all! its not real life.. spend real $ money to get in game items.. you should write an article or post on what is next in the industry.. the industry is not really evolving. its just refining concepts.
I COMPLETELY agree with you on the movie games.. im so sick of them.. sure a few of them are great, but for the most part, they are just promotional horse-sh**
Graphics should be on that list. Games come out today that are awesome to look at but suck in story and depth.
I think games pretty much lost it for me after Abes Oddysee. Once a game gives farting a purpose that's it, nothing will ever top that awesome. But seriously, I'd love to see another game that's just new in terms of imagination, story and gameplay like Abe was. Everything I see today is either too casual or yet another FPS. When I good game crops up it's just run into the ground as quickly as possible. Lego Star Wars is an example that comes to mind. I guess the same will happen to Portal soon when Valve finish the sequel.
