I have worked hard in promoting GoDaddy.com webhosting sales but all of a sudden they have charged back 10 out of 12 sales that I have made in December. What the hell. My GOD, I am getting no sleep today
Maybe you like to find out from GoDaddy on what exactly happen. Sorry to hear that this is happening to you
That's bad news. Maybe those sales fell through at GoDaddy, maybe not. I stopped promoting GoDaddy for other reasons - news of their extortion scam where they demand money to reenable a domain that was supposedly "reported" as spamming. News like that makes it easy to believe they would do just about anything sleazy. Not saying that's what is happening it your case, but easy to believe it could be.
How is this CJ's fault? Any affiliate network (whether in-house or in CJ or LinkShare) would take back commissions for sales that were returned or charged back. If it's hosting that you were promoting, you should know that the hosting industry has a high rate of fraud.
Well, Ok, CJ does not suck... But what kind of fraud are you talking about in the hosting industry. And what could be the reason that my sales got charged back.. Would it have been due to fraudulent purchases?
WOW - that sucks! godaddy? a good trusted company - they'll pay u. i would contact ur account manager by phone and start yelling the hell oput of them i can live on 1050 per month - and they take it away in 10 secs?? what?? i woiuld go crazy and call them every second until they pay!!!
Are you using PPC to promote hosting companies? It will not work: Fraudulent guys use Google and Yahoo to search their victim companies - So is impossible to know if you are profiting or not as after a month you can drop a $1000 in revenue as happened with you.
I suggest writing to the Godaddy affiliay contact/manager to clear things out and see what's up. My experience with CJ is that some advertisers have sales chargedback constantly, others however do not... so it's an advertisers issue... therefore best to take it up directly with them for an explanation, and to see how problem can be resolved.
Uh, they seem to be quite the opposite. When they shut down domains due to supposed spam reports, and then demand a ransom to reenable it, that's an extortion scam. Check the stories: one here and a couple from Threadwatch here.
