Ive noticed that the top 10 results in google for various search terms are different based on whether you specify 100 results (in advanced search) or just go with the default 10 results. Does anyone know exactly how different the results are--or any source on this info? (ie do you know if they are say about 90% similar) Also does anyone know what percentage of users set 100 rather than 10? (Im guessing the majority just have 10, but ive noticed ive ranked lower for the same term when 100 is set...
The way relevant search results are displayed you have a larger pool to choose from 10 to 100, so in common sense theory when you have 100 pages to decided on compared to 10 you'll see different results. Majority of searchers use the default 10.
When you check in 10, oftenly single site shows one time in results, but when you check in 100, single site shows two times in results, one by one. therefor results varies.
Most of the users are not using advanced option. I am also trying to find the result in top 10 result.
I do use both, as i love to target highly competitive and one phrase keywords, some time need 100 pages results also. But gennerally i found my results in first 2 pages, so i need not have to use 100 pages option
