    Thanks, mubin, for your reply, although it doesn't address my concern.

    The social bookmark was just an example. If the huge spike in traffic is based on keywords utterly different than new york travel guide-related topics (which makes sense given that newer posts would have caused the huge and fairly sudden volume increase) then my question still stands...I'm trying to figure out where the traffic is coming from and why. I have pm'ed you my email address for the traffic files. Thanks in advance.
