10 Marketable Niches, $5,000 - $10,000

I am about to undertake a giant project of creating 10 sites, with about 50 unique articles each (500 words/article). Afterwards, I plan on selling the sites, and would like to get between $5,000 and $10,000 for them. The thing I worry most about is whether or not I'll pick the right niches. What 10 niches do you think would be best suited for this type of project? Since I plan on unloading these sites ASAP, I need to pick the best niches.

Hopefully I can get the 50 articles to make $2/$3 per day per site. How hard do you think that'd be?

I think you better stop stepping on my toes ( kidding ), that's one of my business models. To be honest it's not as easy as it sounds and you won't get 5k - 10k for a 50 page website making 2-3 dollars per day.

You usually need at least 5-6 months of steady income before someone will pay a decent amount for a website. The amount they actually pay depends on the net profit in most cases.

This is generally what websites sell for once they are established for at least 5-6 months:

Monthly Net Profit x 10-16 months = Sale Price

So the max you will probably get for a website making 3.00 dollars per day is around 1300.00 dollars which is 16 months income. This is assuming your website has longevity and you find the right buyer.

Try high paying adsense keywords. Type in "list of high paying adsense keywords" in Google and see list of niche and keywords that will give you high payment for each clicks on Adsense ads.

Mesothelioma is supposed to be a very high paying keyword.

I would not focus on mesothelioma is has massive amounts of keyword spam and it is not worth much unless you are a trusted site. I would just go with health care, student loans, real estate, and lawsuits. I think just kind of generally those work for a good amount of money but still I would not start into a niche unless you have some knowledge and passion because it takes a lot of work to even get it to 5-10 dollars a day.

I meant all 10 sites each making $3/day, then selling those 10 sites to someone for between $5,000 and $10,000. The 500 articles alone should really make the sites with like $3,500 to start, wouldn't you say so?

Im not sure where you getting your prices from bro but if your just starting out you'll find out like i did and most people its really hard to make anything in the beginning.

Article marketing is a great way to get traffic to your site, before you jump straight i suggest doing full research on every niche, such as pages in google for keyword, back links of competition, pr of competition. Theres alot of things which make a good niche not just a high paying or high traffic keyword.

OK now that makes more sense - I misinterpreted your post.

500 articles worth 3,500.00 I wouldn't say that. Most people can get 500 words articles from 3 - 10 bucks each anyway.

The value will come together once you complete the website with a good design, get a few backlinks and they earn some sort of income. If they are making 3.00 each per day then 8k - 9k for all 10 websites shouldn't be a problem.

10 websites earning 3.00 dollars per day equals 840.00 dollars per month. 840.00 x 10 months is 8400.00 dollars. Don't forget a website is worth what someone will pay for it so these figures are just general guidelines.

Well, you have a valid concern as far as what niches to pick. You certainly don't want to invest all of that time/money into niches that won't perform - but unfortunately, you'll probably have to gamble a bit on the topics.

My best advice for niches is to concentrate on a few "green" subjects (saving fuel, green energy, biofuels, etc etc). They're pretty hot, and will remain so for a long while due to the current energy crisis. In other words, I don't think you can go wrong with that subject.

As an experienced seller/buyer on SP - I see "green" type of sites selling all the time.

Anyway, best of luck to you!

I just started testing the waters and trying to get a few sites that will generate some $. So I don’t know much about what will generate money yet but I’ve been looking at a lot of the sites for sale and most of them just don’t go for that much.

Personally I would do a few experiments before investing a lot in one field.

Business, health and financial related niches, a lot of competition though. ;)

Gambling sites are often easy to sell... Affiliates for online poker rooms and casinos make good money on each player they refer. If you can get some sites with good content and high traffic you should be able to make some good money.

I agree. I see daily many people starting up health or financial websites/blogs just to try to get the big clicks but after a few months and there websites only getting 40-50 impressions daily and hardly any click they shut it down. It happens over and over again. Find a niche in those fields that you enjoy and learn everything about it you can and make sure its specific enough to make you competitive but also searched enough to be viable. It all comes down to starting out small, so many people go very general and that never seems to work out unless you have a HUGE budget to just play around with.
