Hello, another try in attachment, I've added a small image so you can get the idea how it would look small. Feedback appreciated. Thanks, Bucko
@adwaitk007 The rest of my team didn't really love it. The icon isn't what we're looking for, and the font doesn't match up with what we want to focus on. Thanks for trying though @Bucko We actually quite like it. The only issue we had was that the V is bigger than the other letters. It could be fixed by either cutting off the V, or changing fonts. If you could show a few different fonts, it would be great. We all really really like the idea behind it @anarki Extremely clean, and very nice. My team didn't get a chance to see your attempt today, so I can't really check with them. As for feedback, there really isn't much, it's amazing the way it is. You're definitively one of the entries we'll be considering. @freeyourwing The ying/yang concept has been overused in recent years, and we're looking for something fresh. Overall it's not too terrible, but not exactly what we're looking for as of now. Thanks for trying
hi, thank you for the feedback here is my revision, as you can see colors can be easily changed, 100% vector feedback appreciated Thank you, Bucko
@Bucko Looks great mate and everyone who i've polled has loved the V, but still not in love with the font. Can you try it with this font? Have the entire thing be in lower case, and i'd like to see what it look like bold as well if possible (so two versions); http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Aller Could you make the b a different color from the rest as well? Colors don't matter to much to me personally, since i'll be changing them to match up later anyway. For now, i'd just like to see it with that font and the 'b' a different color from the rest
hi, revised it as asked, bold and regular I have only glanced at fonts license and noticed there is an EULA attached so you might want to read it before using the font (if you haven't already) feedback appreciated Thanks, Bucko
@Bucko Yeah, I was looking at the EULA earlier. From what I can tell, it's free for commercial use; http://typophile.com/node/51198 however it may be a good idea to steer clear of it nonetheless. If you have time tonight you could try this font, http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Mentone however you don't have to. Knowing that I can change fonts at any time with the .psd file means that the logo that wins doesn't have to have the exact font we'll use, so we're looking at design more than anything else. You're very strong towards the win as of now, but still a day left
@Rovil Overall, not too bad. The colors aren't my favorite though, and the icon isn't exactly what we're looking for. Thanks for trying though @Bucko Oh, I really like that one. The only issue is that the V is almost too bright, it disappears on my laptop screen when I turn it to a certain angle. Can the blue and gray be reversed, as in, the b is gray and the rest is blue? I'm just trying to think of ways to get the V to stand out more. So far, i'm loving it
Yes, just noticed it myself, I've already attached another image where v is more gray, I'll also reverse the colors
@Bucko The second one looks so much better. How would it look without the white overlay? Just basic gray and blue? The overlay is causing the top of the V to be almost too light to see, and could be an issue later on. Also, since the text is now editable, I can use any font needed? Looks like the contest is now over, the team has decided that Bucko's entry has proven to be the best. The money will be sent to him via PayPal. Contest Ended.
