Hello, I'm looking for a logo design that I can own full rights to. It will be used commercially and shouldn't use any non-public domain parts. The title of the company is "Bitcove" and will focus on web development. We haven't yet selected exactly what template we'll be using for our webpage, so we want the logo to look good with all colors, or be easy to edit. The winner must provide the layered .psd file used when creating, and must agree to give us full copyright over the work. Feel free to incorporate any ideas and concepts, all entries will receive feedback. Payment will be via verified PayPal and will be paid once the files have been transferred. Ends on Saturday, at 4:45PM EST.
@Misa_Misa Thanks for showing interest in the contest. To be completely honest, size doesn't matter as long as it can be resized to fit most areas without getting blurry. If you design it large, I don't think shrinking it around will hurt it too much. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with
@mvch Hmmm... overall I don't love it. The icon you've used doesn't scream "technology" at me. The text appears choppy, I would much prefer smooth. The black gradient looks rough as well, maybe try a few "softer" gradients. I'm also unsure how well it would look on sites of different colors. Thanks for trying though
hello, my try in attachment 100% vector, colors are easily changeable feedback appreciated Thank you, Bucko
@Bucko I actually really like the Web 2.0 gradient effects on yours, however the icon isn't wonderful. Is there any way to integrate the icon into the font? Either way, nice try, but probably not something we'd be looking to use. If you're still looking to try, place around with different fonts and try to make / find a different icon
thank you for fast feedback, I'll probably try something new tomorrow cause it's getting pretty late here and it's workday tomorrow (GMT+ 1 zone) E: I'll remove the first one from the contest as it doesn't suit Your needs
@Bucko No problem man, i've got school tomorrow so I won't be on until afternoon. There should still be plenty of time left for you to enter other work, however. Looking forward to it
@gipanuhotko I like where you're going with it, I really do. Could the circle be more "globe" like, to represent the web? Nice gradient use, I rather like it. You're on the right track mate, just need to work on the icon part. @endhorphine Now that "b" is amazing! The red background dots appear to be cut off, on the original .psd are they fine? I love the "b" icon part, is there any way to make it the "b" in "bitcove"? As in, place "itove" to the right of that "b" you've made? Right now i'm loving yours the most of them all
@endhorphine Looks amazing, and my favorite thus far. Just want to check, all parts on are separate layers and can have different colors (or gradients) applied to them, correct? Also, if yours wins, are you able to provide me with the fonts you used as well?
@gipanuhotko Looking very nice now. The only thing that could be better is the letter "b" on the icon, maybe a different gradient or different font. Then you could remove the "b" from the text on the right, and use the icon to represent the letter "b". Overall, very good, and definitively something i'll have to sleep on. @endhorphine I received your PM on the matter, and all sounds great
@gipanuhotko Looking good mate, much better than before. It's getting late here, so i'm going to go off to bed and sleep on it. I'll also attempt to discuss the entries with the rest of my team tomorrow, so i'll let you guys know if there's anything they come up with. Thanks for entering everyone, still plenty of time to enter.
