Hey all, I'm back for another content in need of a logo design. http://www.burnparliament.com/ - "Burn Parliament, Ignite Expression" The concept is to get people involved in politics, and we've already got a custom script in development. In terms of the logo, we're looking for something that suits the name and idea. -Must either be made large in Photoshop, or be vector (we don't mind which). -No fancy gradients, we need it to be printable and look good on paper too. -Full copyright must be included with the transfer. All in all, we're open to all sorts of stuff. A few ideas I really liked was a megaphone on fire to symbolize freedom of speech, or even some scroll of papers on fire. Maybe even just the text on fire? All submissions will receive feedback, payment will be paid via PayPal to the winner, assuming there is a winner
@Todd Duquette Thanks for the entry. The biggest issue I see is my own fault, I may have caused some misunderstanding in my post. The site title is "Burn Parliament" and the slogan is "Ignite Expression". Overall, not a bad start. I would like to see a bit more than just an icon though, could you try some creative ways to incorporate the fire into the text?
@EmG Hate the font, love the icon choice. I think the fire icon you put in the "U" would look great as part of a circle. I've did a (very) quick mockup, only imagine the fire as the same color as the circle, making it a single image; If you could fine a font that compliments that, it would look great.
@EmG I didn't mean for the icon to be moved to the "a", sorry if that's the picture you got. I actually mean to make the fire icon within a circle, and as a completely separate item. The find a font that would look good with it. Thanks.
@Carelessstudy Overall not too bad. The font isn't what I have in mind, and just don't look smooth. The fire in the circle idea is on the right track, though I'd like the flames to be connected to the bottom of the circle like on my mockup. A better flame graphic may also help. On the right track though @Dr\Logo The match from the globe is creative, I'll give you that. The real "concept" with this is going to be debates, so I just don't see it fitting in too well. It may also end up being hard to print with the shape of the continents on the globe itself. @sm1979 It's a different take on the "circle of fire" idea, but I just don't love the results. By making the text go all the way around, it takes a few seconds to read, something most users won't bother themselves with. Thanks for the entry though.
@Dr\Logo I don't really love that icon either, though it is better than before. On the right track with the icon, though the placement isn't ideal either. Try my "fire in the circle" concept from above, that's what I think would look the best. The font also needs to be changed, don't love it. Thanks again for the entry though Edit: Just a quick update for anyone confused, I've managed to track down exactly what I'd like in terms of the icon; Clearly if I wanted to use *that* one, I would. I'd like something like it, only better for print purposes.
@Dr\Logo You're getting there - I'd like the fire to be part of the circle itself, and have a transparent section as the example above. In terms of fonts, here are a few I like; http://www.dafont.com/kiralynn.font?nb_ppp=50&text=Burn+Parliament http://www.dafont.com/phorssa.font?nb_ppp=50&text=Burn+Parliament http://www.dafont.com/soulmission.font?nb_ppp=50&text=Burn+Parliament http://www.dafont.com/downcome.font?nb_ppp=50&text=Burn+Parliament The slogan text would need a different font though.
