EVERYONE needs more traffic. Everyone except for your local interstate highway or freeway right?!

Of course. You want traffic fast and you want more of it.

Treat Google right and you will get traffic. Treat it bad - and you will find you drop off the radar pretty quick.

OK, you could buy traffic - it, but hey, there is no challenge in that is there?

You want it FAST. You want it NOW. and You want it FREE.

Golden Rule Number 1 - Master Of None

Got a blog? Got a Website? What is it about?
    Is it about everything?

Have you heard the saying – “Jack of all trades Master of None?” This is critical at start up phase. Your blog needs to be narrowly targeted.

If it is about Cars – Narrow it further. Make it about high performance luxury cars.

If it is about Craft – Make it about Craft for kids.

    Got the idea?

Focus on doing this first, until you start getting lots of repeat readers and then slowly start to broaden your topics.

People need to know exactly what your blog is about as soon as they arrive. Visitors that are interested in your topic or niche, will hang around, bookmark it, and come back again.

The others that are not interested won’t – but you don’t want them anyway, so tell them to shooo….!

They are untargeted traffic so are unlikely to buy your product and you will need to be a very good salesperson to convince them otherwise !

Agreed with Some points like "make your niche more targeted and get specific long tail keywords".
These tips are basics but still plays huge role, if you apply they properly.

Good platform to start from, I would say. Great for beginners. I also like the way you try to be as illustrative as possible. Thanks for sharing.

Why narrow your site to particular subject ?
It wont make any difference. Google will treat every page independently.

If you narrow it down too much you wont get massive hits though.

I agreed...need not to narrow a site to particular topic...when u can hav n no. of pages on it for different topics and Google will treat them independently

Moreover u can narrow every page to specific concept...with targeting only 1 primary keyword for that particular page...on-page (keyword density) and off-page (anchor text in backlinks)

This was very useful, thank you. It seems like we are living in a very niche world and the more niche a blog the hits it seems to get.

Every website wants traffic and Google has the power to do that. Disobey and you will be looked the other way.
