I need small alignment help in Firefox and IE for my website (pokereagles.com) (please dont post a live link).

So you want the green background that shows up in Firefox to show up in IE?
    Cheers!

    It already does,

I want the bottom of the left menu to be aligned with Main-Content in Firefox and the Main-Content to align in IE. Also, I need the left menu dropdown navigation to work in IE as it does in FF.
    Thanks

Have you viewed the site in IE7?

The menu does not work. The bottom problem is solved. It is broken at the top.

I know. I was not slamming you. I was just pointing out that you may need to decide what you want to optimize for.

I am not the person to solve the problems. :)

I should be able to get this fixed for you for the $15 - unfortunately my partner who is great with CSS is out for dinner right now. I can most likely get it completed within 24 hours though.

Hi, I'm TheExceptions partner. I am in the process of recoding your document and so far so good. PM me when you are online next and I'll point you in the direction of a preview.

EDIT: I have gotten it to work flawlessly in Firefox... IE though, well for the time being, lets just say its a piece of sh*t. I am using IE7, maybe it works in IE6, but I doubt it; its made by Microsoft aswell :)

If you could point me in the direction of where you found out how to do the menu, I think there is a 99% chance I can get it working in both Firefox and IE for you!

EDIT 2: The page is 100% valid, both the CSS and the HTML, yet it still won't work in IE....

I've uploaded it here, check it out:
h**p://www.tigerproxy.info/poker/ (Change to http:// .... I got rid of it so it wouldn't be a live link)

    Rocho,

You did the whole page with tables. I want to use DIV and CSS.

    Thanks though,

The DIV should work, that's why I was asking for help...

I fixed the Navigation dropdown menu myself.

These are the two problems left:

1- The left menu doesnt line up in the bottom in Firefox
2- The Main Content section doesnt line up correctly in IE.

    Thanks
    Nima

My coding fixed both of the problems you have left

The only problem I had was the menu in IE, which you have fixed

    Rochow,

One of the main reasons I am redesigning my website is to use less tables and more DIVs...

I know tables very well myself.
    Thanks though

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to use more Divs and less tables? Are Divs more professional, do they organize the data better, etc.

I hardly use Divs on my site, I mainly use tables on all my sites and only use Divs for adding the header image and maybe the sites logo so that they can lay ontop of each other.

Divs are the future. Tables were used so much and even with CSS, I think some people want to make their site look up to date.

    Two main reasons:

1- Much easier to change my website's look
2- I want my content above other sections of the website for SEO purposes

Actually, look at my coding in comparison to the old code... its not much different. I still put alot in CSS, so it is easier to change the look. Div's are better for #2, seo, however it matters about <1% getting your site ranked high, its more about offsite things such as link building
