My fairly new forum for discussing Call of Duty is holding a competition where you can win $10 via paypal. All you need to do is earn 1500 XP (which equates to 150 posts, but XP can be earned by other methods as well). If you are interested please read the thread on our forums for more information on the competition: http://forumwarfare.com/Thread-Foru..._the_Golden_44_Magnum_win_10?pid=1648#pid1648 Since this is a Call of Duty forum, obviously if you want to take part in this competition you should have at least some experience with any of the Call of Duty games. Thanks
It was obviously a bad idea posting this here, all I have gotten so far is money lusting spammers posting crap to try and get the points. This competition is meant to bring people who are interested in Call of Duty to join our forums and get involved with the community, and earn some cash whilst doing it. If you have no real interest in Call of Duty please do not enter this competition. IT IS NOT A POSTING COMPETITION! PLEASE READ THE THREAD I LINKED TO ABOVE!
I hate to break it to you but no where in your competition topic does it say the posts cannot be done in less than an hour, or even 30 minutes. So I have no clue how you disqualified me from your competition. Just because I posted 30 topics in under 30 minutes does not make those posts spam. All of my topics had a nice title and a question in the post. Now if that is spamming, why isn't every post on that forum removed? You are never going to get someone who will actually stay on the forum for a few days and get 150 posts for only $10. You should have expected these quick posts when you made the competition.
Just because you flooded the forum with posts in 30 minutes that doesn't mean it's the reason you were disqualified. 90% of your posts were posted in the Off Topic section which it clearly states in the rules are not part of the competition. Now not only that, most of your posts were just spam, asking silly questions, very few were not only not call of duty related, but also not involved in any previous active discussion. Either of those 2 points alone is basis enough to disqualify you. Please read the rules. Also, this is not a "make as many posts as you can" competition, I am not paying people to post, the idea was to attract Call of Duty fans to join the forum, who would be encouraged to post more often to achieve the cash prize as a small intensive. We were trying to get loyal members to the forum, not a one time poster for 30 mins, that is the complete opposite of what we are looking for. That's why I specifically stated only people with Call of Duty knowledge should take part. I should have thought better than to assume people here weren't just after a quick buck.
