Well, Before I was averaging 5 Clicks per week on my forum, Then I put it on top of the page yesterday and the results are showing. But I only got $3 for all of that
That is why the best advice anyone can give - experiment - find the best locations for ads, try different color schemes, etc. You see, you changed the location and the amount of clicks went up ten fold.
You got $3.00 for 10 clicks? Dude that is good. I am getting @#$% for clicks. All you need to do is increase your traffic.
.20 cents/click is not bad compared to what lot others are making. u have a good paying niche, all you need to do is to drive traffic to your site. good to see that changing ad positioning worked out for you.
$3 is pretty good for the numbers of clicks u've got... you also mentioned you've recently changed ads (new position)... which based on my experience google will at first pay a bit lower then they'll pay higher per click then come back down to some where in the middle... give it a couple of weeks and then u'll be able to make a better judgment on how much u'll make per click.
Congrats! Actually there was another thread on DP which said the same thing. It seems for Forums Top right is the best place for ads.
if you have forum .. check your language " non english languages is pay cheap for clicks " if a website .. try change the keywords in your website " choose high paying keywords"
Definetly play around with placement. a few of my sites are fourms and one of them gets around 2.6K page views a day. I have switched up the ad layouts many times to get the most out of it. Also don't 100% rely on adsense. Adbrite and widget bucks are good alternatives and you can have them all on one page. Not saying you should have all three on one page but you should try different ways of monetizing.
