my bad.. 10 clicks and what i get is just $0.40 my niche is humor.. is there anything i can do to increase my earnings other than changing my niche??
Add more quality to your site. Adsense only pays out big on big sites now.. if you want to get higher earnings per click, put more content into your site, get more visitors... you are in one of the easiest viral linkbait niches to be in.. people love to pass around funny stuff all the time.. I'm sure you got one of those emails in your hotmail or yahoo with some stupid picture and in the header there were some 300 emails address... grab those .. find a funny thing on your site.. and email them As long as its funny.. nobody will care.. they got a good laugh... and you got more traffic... thus leading to higher quality scoring.. and higher payouts. You might not be working in good niche or your keywords may be not good. Add good quality content to your site. Try to get back links to your site which will result in more traffic and more clicks. Wrtire a good article and submit with link to your site in ezinearticles and go articles this will also drive traffic to your site. Go to answers.yahoo.com search for humor and answer questions there this will also bring traffic to your site. Your site lyout should be such that ads are blended with the text and they don'y look like ads because if they look like ads people will not click on them. Hope this helps you. Regards Tehmina
Consider yourself lucky since you have earned an average of 4 cents a click but I have earned a mammoth 1 cent a click for one of my sites with poor niche. Two things are important in earning; the source of traffic and kind of niche
If you can't find the keywords that cost more (at first for sure you need to try this) that you need to do your best to increase traffic.
Consider having jokes that are related to high paying niches... This is the only thing you can do since your niche is already humor... try making some makeover.

@ silveraden thanks for the list and that is something i had in my mind.. but.. if i wrap the keywords around those high paying niches, my ads will differ.. i guess they may change to someother things other than humor or jokes.. and.. that might not interest the users.. i guess?
make it not obvious... having a joke in technical niches don't need to have a lot of technical keywords... search for unique and funny thing like PC, cards, etc depends on your preference...funny lawyers, etc..
You won't get a higher cpc unless you change the niche, but you can try to promote your site and get more clicks.
I've got a humor site and it pays nearly nothing despite the decent traffic it gets. I just think the niche doesn't have that many high-paying advertisers.
And you get tagged for spamming. OP, try to find legit ways to boost your traffic, not annoying spammy ones that are going to tick people off and potentially get you into trouble with your ISP.
That's the entertainment niche for you. It's easier to get traffic too though, so work on getting more people to the site and you will earn more. As it has been said, it is one of those niches that doesn't have a high paying ad inventory.
good ideas and suggestions from all in addition, make sure you have a well written privacy-policy page, a site map, and contact page. this will help a little.

No ignorance, just a good question. Questions = success and results. yes, it will appear to google as a professional site which will increase how much more you receive per click.
