Anyone can help me on this? Ways to get traffic to my new website. So far, I knew a few which are: 1) Paid traffic, engaging with the Service Provider and they will help you to get traffic 2) Writing Articles 3) Twitter 4) Join Forum 5) Backlink Anymore that I might now aware off? Please let me know as my new website does not get my expected result. Thanks
You missed quite a few, you should be social bookmarking, writing press releases, begin a blog, comment on blogs in your niche, guest posting for websites and blogs, expand on the social networking don't just use twitter also use myspace and facebook, submit to free directories, join many forums right now I am involved in well over twenty (make sure to join a bunch in your niche), Search Engine Optimization (keyword density, meta tags, anchoring keywords into your hyperlinks,), classified ads, and some like email marketing and traffic exchanges personally I don't recommend them. Anyway do these to gain the most exposure on the web. I have been searching and have not found any other than these. If you wanted to you could always move to offline marketing, tv, radio, and newspapers though a little more expensive.
Slapping a page or two up on GoogleBase - http://googlebase.com can also can help in traffic and Pagerank.
Video marketing traffic should be at least in the top 5, if not #1. Traffic from my youtube videos has an 18% bounce rate and is my sites #3 highest source of traffic. At one time, youtube sent my site s much traffic as Yahoo.
Try Digg-style sites. Your articles have a very small chance of hitting the Digg front page, but try some of the alternatives: http://www.makeyougohmm.com/20060619/3447/
im abit confused on social branding from what i have heard its just good for bringing links rather than traffic
What good is twitter for? Im using facebook to tell people about my blog and go in blogging groups but doesnt work well. If I have let's say an average make money online blog and I spend say 10 hours on twitter, how much targeted traffic or non targeted will I be able to get in those 10 hours ?? thanks
I would aim for organic rather than paid traffic. You can easily lose money in the 'google casino' if your not careful - it happened to me
