Congratulations Well done on using your noodles to make money. Too many people just copy other's ideas and are not creative.
Congrats on your success! Amazon does seem to get written off on most affiliate forums these days as a non-starter, but people will always want to read I guess (which I'm *assuming* is still Amazons primary product range, amongst their numerous additions?) Care to reflect on any Amazon product sales which you've found suprising? No problem if you don't wish to go into specifics of couse.
I have always been led to believe payouts are low on amazon...although this puts a different view on it
Very nice job. I have just started with the Amazon.com affiliate program in October and am finding it to be fairly rewarding (although not on your level). I have already made $140 for this quarter, but I my goal is to get to $x,xxx before the end of the quarter. Your experience let's me believe that it is possible. Thanks.
Didn't know what to expect when I got back from my trip. Wow! Thanks for the kind words! Will spend more time on this in the near future after some sleep! However I will answer one question tonight. progress Not a problem! Was actually quite surprised at how many expensive tvs I was able to sell! Commission has since been reduced on electonics to 4% though. Which is less than half what I was earning on most sets that I sold. Suggestion don't forget about inexpensive items! You need them to reach the next commission level!!!
Don't believe I ever said it was??? I have been aware of AOM for quite some time. I even have a paid version of the script. Due to having a hosting account shut down (using too many resources, I was hosting both ASM2 & AOM on this shared account) I didn't rebuild my AOM stores. At the time I was just starting to make money with ASM2. http://www.associate-o-matic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6 AOM is a fine script & I probably will build a couple stores again at some point. The only real problem I have with AOM is that you can't modify the script's core files. With the importance of building unique stores this can limit one's ability to customize. However I FULLY recognize why Justin decided to encrypt the files!
Thanks, guess I'll stick to AOM. Was just wondering if there were any reasons to switch to ASM2 from AOM paid!
For my antique furniture website I used Linksmanager.com. At the time I started trading links that worked quite well! After a while I had an endless supply of link exchange requests. However because of the importance of proper linking I am now MUCH more selective which sites I approve! Even so this site took a major drop in Google's ranking a couple months ago. A look at Alexa's traffic rankings shows a major increase in traffic around July 2005. http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=antiquefurniture.us
Care to share your experiences as an Amazon associate? Successes, disappointments or which script you prefer? I am sure we can all learn from each other's experiences!
I have no connection to ASM2 other than having been in the right place at the right time to profit as an Amazon.com affiliate. For anyone interested the following link is to the author's main website. http://www.freekrai.net/
Maybe this is too private of a question, but do you have any idea how much the author himself makes from his Amazon stores?
